Nicki Minaj: Starships Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Starships Lyrics
Let's go get away
They say, what are they gonna say?
Have a drink, click, found the Bud Light
Bad Bitches like me, is hard to come by
The Partron, on, let's go get it on
The zone, on, yes I'm in the zone
Is it...

"Starships were meant to fly"-
I guess nicki is referring to shy people as starships. So then shy people are meant to show what they got and let their inner-self shine as a talented human being.
"Hands up and touch the sky"-
nicki is telling you to put your hands up and she will help you touch the sky. So I guess that a lot of people find nicki minaj as an inspiration and that they should work hard and follow their dreams, sorta like what nicki did.

This song has no meaning at all. It's just about getting high and partying. But isn't that (for the most part) what all the popular music is about? Like seriously there are so many songs out there that actually mean something. And then people wonder why we(teens) do bad things. It's what the media is setting us to think is 'cool'. Just like smoking back then, when they used to put a hot celebrity smoking cigarettes just so you'd thing it was cool. sorry i know this isn't a proper interpretation but i just had to rant. Hope you all don't mind.

I hate religuous people. i came here to read about Nicki Minaj not get a damn sermon on the bible and where everybody but christians are going.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
Coke heads refer to using cocaine as blasting off, hence the starship reference.

I Agree With The Illuminati Comment. I Encourage Everyone Do Some Research On It. These Song And Videos Are Meant To Fill Your Head With Drugs And Sex and Most Importantly Leading You Away From God.

i think this song is sort of stupid..... its defenetly bout gettin high
-
just another meaningless club song
-
Yes, Drugs.... However I think it's specifically about cocaine, and not E. The reference "blow up my money"... "blow" is a reference to Cocaine (in case you didn't know that).

I think Starships is a metaphor for her huge ass!!! Her butt looks like it's been blown up just for this video!!! If you look at all other videos her ass is not nearly as big!!! I think it's a spoof on her ass!

For the people who want to know the starship is your dreams as in you and your dreams were ment to fly as in you were ment to be someone.
"Twinkle Twinkle" is about coming out and being who you are.
"Not paying rent" is about following your dreams no matter what they are or what the cost.
"The Club" Stands for her dream as in the place where she makes her dreams fly.
Not every song is about drugs and getting high. -
illuminati ;)

If u play it backwards in slow motion u will find out that it has something to do with illuminate search it up really because I'm in a club and we research about the illuminate and if u don't kno it then ur dumb
P.S. Play it backwards in slow motion

A starship is a relationship between two superstars. "are meant to fly" means those relationships aint grounded like "normal people" they are full of controversies and stuff. "High" in this context doesnt mean on drugs it means...can it mean anything else. Considering this is Nicki strike that...the song's definately about ex
