Ozzy Osbourne: See You On The Other Side Meaning
See You On The Other Side Lyrics
Voices, a thousand, thousand voices
Whispering, the time has passed for choices
Golden days are passing over, yeah
I cant seem to see you baby
Although my eyes are open wide
But I know Ill see you once more
When I see you, Ill see you...

It doesn't really matter who Ozzy wrote the song for. The song came out 3 weeks before my dad passed away. My son hung himself in 2015. I will see you on the other side son. That is my interpretation of the song. Great song. Love Ozzy.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
I want this song played at my funeral. Also Mama I'm coming home. I absolutely love Ozzy. I love all of his music. He's one of the best. I love you Ozzy
-
This song was not for sharon or randy. It was for Sam Kinison. look it up on youtube. Here is what you need to type in.
Ozzy meets fan on tv 1998. -
This song was not for Randy Rhoads. Ozzy hasnt done a song for him. The person he wrote this song for was for His friend Sam Kinison.
-
Ozzy wrote it for Sharon when she was battling cancer. He thought she was going to die and this song is for her.

I believe every song has a special and different meaning for each individual person, that being said my high-school sweetheart and I were together for 10 years and 1 month, (and proud to say without ever splitting up) and engaged for 1 year, when we were about 14-15 decided that this was our 'song', didnt think much about it till we started planning our wedding for 2006, then decided that would be our first song as a married couple and told a few close family & friends, some thought it was an odd choice but we didnt realy care, but when he passed away in a car accident that we were in just 6 months before our wedding date I actually thought to myself that this was the reason this was our song all this time, if I hear it on the radio I realy feel like it's him :(

This isn't about someone dying, it's about you dying and leaving your loved ones behind, it deals with confronting your own mortality...
-
I think this song probably is about Randy, however, I has always been great to me in the way that when I was getting deployed to Iraq I told my girlfriend that if anything happened to me, I'd see her on the other side. Music is something different to every person, don't argue it, listen to it.
-
Im in agreeance with the last 2 this song was written for Randy but it obviously can be interpretated for anyone that has lost a loved one. I know this song helped me when both of my great grandmothers died and my great grandfather.
-
The song CAN be interpreted as being about Randy (im a guitarist and I know ALOT about Randy) but I think the song is just a song about losing someone very close and knowing that they'll be together again in the end. But I do not think the song is about Randy specidically, but I can be wrong though

THIS SONG WAS WRITTEN IN MEMORY OF RANDY RHOADS. JUST IN CASE YOU DONT KNOW WHO HE IS, YOUR MISSING OUT! RANDY RHOADS WAS OZZY OSBOURNES GUITARIST AFTER HE LEFT BLACK SABBATH. HE WAS AMAZING. HE HELPED OZZY THROUGH A TOUGH TIME IN THE BEGINNING OF HIS CAREER. ON MARCH 19, 1982, RANDY RHOADS WAS KILLED IN A PLANE ACCIDENT. HERE IS THE ACCIDENT REPORT.
ACCIDENT DETAILS
Date: March 19, 1982
Time: 10:30
Location: Leesburg, Florida
Operator: Private
Flight #: ?
Route: None
AC Type: Beechcraft Bonanza F35
Registration: N567LT
cn / ln: D-4114
Aboard: 3 (passengers:2 crew:1)
Fatalities: 3 (passengers:2 crew:1)
Ground: 0
Summary: Randy Rhoads, 25, lead guitarist for heavy metal star Ozzy Osbourne was killed when the plane in which he was a passenger crashed into a tour bus and a house. The pilot was attempting to buzz Osbourne's tour bus when after several attempts, the left wing struck the side of the bus puncturing it in two places approximately half way down the right side. The plane was thrown over the bus, hit a pine tree, severing it approximately 10 feet up from the bottom, before it crashed into the garage of a house. The plane was an estimated 10-11 feet off the ground traveling at approximately 120 - 150 knots during final impact. Several other members of the group were inside the bus but were not hurt. The pilot, Andrew Aycock's medical certificate (3rd class) had expired, making his pilots license invalid. All three aboard, Rhoads, Rachel Youngblood, the groups hairdresser and the pilot were killed. Poor judgement by the pilot in buzzing the bus and misjudging clearance of obstacles.
I ALSO READ SOMEWHERE THAT COCAINE WAS FOUND IN THE PILOTS SYSTEM, BUT IM NOT SAYING IT IS TRUE. IT IS JUST SOMETHING I READ. COULD BE A BUNCH OF BULL. R.I.P RANDY RHOADS. I SEE THIS SONG A LOT DIFFERENTLY SINCE MY GRANFATHER HAS DIED. -
This song is about when someone passes and you'll see them on the other side I always thought it was about when ever you left someone and relized you really loved them but ni=o its not
