Panic! At The Disco: C'mon Meaning
Song Released: 2011
C'mon Lyrics
Cannot seem to find my way home tonight
Feels like I am falling down a rabbit hole
Falling for forever, wonderfully wandering alone
What would my head be like
If not for my shoulders
Or without your smile
May it...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:may not be an interpretation but I just see a lot of connections to the story "Alice in Wonderland".
Examples:
1) "falling down a rabbit hole" is an obvious one.
2) "with everything falling down around me"-when Alice was falling down the rabbit hole and everything was falling with her
3) "believe in all the possibilities" is kind of a theme of Alice in Wonderland (she likes to think of at least 6 impossible things a day)
4) "man of many hats" may be an allusion to the mad hatter
5) "when i am ten feet tall" may be alluding to Alice eating the different pastries and drinking different potions to grow and shrink
6) "stay lost on our way home"-the whole premise of the story is Alice trying to find a way home but she gets more lost in her journey
Maybe some of these are stretches but I just find these really interesting. -
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:I think it's about feeling like everything's falling apart and finding love "c'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me, I'd like to believe in all the possibilities", "don't leave me to sleep all alone, may we stay lost on our way home" and feeling like that person is what keeps you together "What yould my head be like if not for my shoulders, or without your smile"and then there's doubting "If I fall forward, you fall flat And if the sun should lift me up
Would you come back?" -
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:with everything, the good the bad, we get overwhelmed. everything sees to fall down. You think you should be in control, but you cant. You just want a friend for "the end of the world"

This song is sung by your dreams to your awake self. I guess I have to write 100 characters. Re-listen to this and imagine it’s your wildest dreams signing to you and asking you to go back to where you are in control and 10 feet tall. C’mon!
-
Well, it does have a bit of Alice In Wonderland connection, a bit obvious, and I also think it's about getting up when you fall down, and trying your hardest no matter what.

Think "Alice in Wonderland"

About Ryan, from Brendon.
"It’s getting late, and I
Cannot seem to find my way home tonight
Feels like I am falling down a rabbit hole
Falling for forever, wonderfully wandering alone." He doesn't know where he is going without Ryan.
"What would my head be like
If not for my shoulders
Or without your smile
May it follow you forever
May it never leave you
to sleep in the stone,
May we stay lost on our way home." How can I make it without you? I hope I can see you smile forever, I'll never leave you, I don't want to find my way home, I'd rather stay lost with you.
"C’mon, c’mon, with everything falling down around me
I’d like to believe in all the possibilities." You're leaving, it's crushing me, so let's just keep trying because I need some light in this darkness.
(I think this next part is supposed to be from Ryan's perspective?)
"If I should die tonight
May I first just say I’m sorry?
For I never felt like anybody." I'm sorry for leaving, I didn't feel like it would matter that much if I did.
"I am a man of many hats although I
never mastered anything." I'm not sure on this part.
"When I am ten feet tall
I’ve never felt much smaller
Since the fall,
nobody seems to know my name
So don’t leave me to sleep all alone,
May we stay lost on our way home?" I feel small without you, no one knows who I am anymore, I know I left but please don't be angry at me, don't stop talking to me.
"Try not to mistake what you have with what you hate
It could leave, it could leave, come the morning." Don't take things for granted.
"Celebrate the night
It’s the fall before the climb
Shall we sing, shall we sing, 'til the morning." You have to be small/sad before everything gets perfect.
"If I fall forward, you fall flat." You didn't catch me when I fell.
"And if the sun should lift me up
Would you come back? C'mon!" Brendon refers to Ryan as the sun saying that now he, as the moon, needs lifting up, so to come back. -
This song is about being positive even when things feel like they are falling apart.
