Panic! At The Disco: She's A Handsome Woman Meaning
She's A Handsome Woman Lyrics
Innocence.
Sunk the glow and drowned in covers,
send for all your absent lovers things.
Sheepish Wolves.
Looking lived in eating buttons,
Wink, just don’t put your teeth on me.
(Go on)
Accidents.
Let the evening in...
-
I think that this song talks about making new memories or/and try new things. And the lyric saying "I wasn't born to be a skeleton" is saying they don't want to be forgotten. And the lyric "Film the world before it happens" is saying they (P!ATD) wants to make their mark before others beat them to it. And "Innocence" and "Sheepish wolves" to me is saying that at one point we're all innocent and "Accidents" is saying that at some point we make mistakes that help us grow. When growing you lose your innocence. "Go on" is saying two things 1)to make your mark and 2)don't be scared of growing just because you lose your innocence and things change on the other hand you should try new things and get new experiences
In conclusion: My interpretation is to go ahead and make your mark and do new things while you're at it -
They got the title to this song from their producer Rob Mathes when he was describing a beautiful girl.
Innocence: meaning beauty.
Absent lover's things: Someone else saying that the woman is an absent lover, meaning she isn't worth it.
Sheepish wolves: sheep are prey to wolves, the girl is the wolf, is beautiful but a predator.
Wink, just don't put your teeth on me: Be nice, but do not give me your bad side, the girl still being the wolf.
Accidents: She causes accidents.
Beat backbones: She had made a man hurt.
I wasn't born to be a skeleton: He just wants kindness, not disrespect.
The chorus: The girl is shy and needs to get out to the world in her life, enjoy it while it lasts.
Jealous orchard. The sky is falling off the ceiling. While I'm tucking fibs into a cookie jar: Maybe the man is jealous, but wants to hide his jealousy.
(bombed) reverie: Reverie is like a daydream, so this line must mean bombed dreams, meaning the man and woman will not have a future together.
Everything you have is on your back: She still has a dark past even though she acts "innocent".
In total, this song is about a man with a love for a woman that has a dark and secret past. He doesn't know what to do-- go with her or don't trust her. -
This song sounds like a lot of problems are occurring, as well ans memories, so the narrator wants some pictures taken for evidence or for something so he can remember and be able to easily look at those memories.
