Pink: Beam Me Up Meaning
Beam Me Up Lyrics
In a parallel universe
Where nothing breaks and nothing hurts
There's a waltz playing frozen in time
Blades of grass on tiny bare feet
I look at you and you're looking at me
Could you beam me...

45 years married to the love of my life who passed nearly six years ago. Every time (often) when I reminisce and visit her at the cemetery, I play for us “Beam Me Up. She was MY BABY and I’d give up all, It would only take a minute - I’d love to again hold her face and behold the most beautiful electric blue eyes ever!! Pink’s writing and performance of BEAM ME UP
has such personal meaning to this 76 year man that some day I will reunite and once again hold her face forever and ever -
It a song that reminds me of my baby girl i lost when she was 4 mnths old. Its a way for me to sing to her. Thank you for writing and singing this song no matter what interpretation anyone has.❤

It’s about a miscarriage she had before she ever was pregnant with Willow. She spoke about it on Ellen.

Losing somone is like losing a part of you. It seems impossible to move on because you need them, maybe not physically, but they need to be there in your heart. A sign of some sort will do, just to know that the one that you lost is always there with you.

My mema died today with her face in my hand. She raised me ...little feet in blades of grass. This song is dedicated to her. She will always be loved and truly missed. Thank you pink for helping me remember her forever

For me the song is beautiful ...it is about missing someone who has passed onto the otherside so badly and she is tired of carrying the weight of missing that person that all she wants to do is see him/her for one minute to be able to carry on. Not even having to say a word ..just being able to look into that persons eyes one more time would say it all. Then she could return and be able to live with giving him/her a sign when she needs like looking at a star and seeing that person shine or feeling a cold breeze that only she can feel when alone and knowing its the loved one around her. This song spoke to me when I heard it ...I played it over and over and just cried because I have never been able to articulate the way I have felt for many years with the passing of the love of my life. ( but he didnt have tiny feet.LOL)

I think it's about the loss of her pregnancy before Willow. " I see your baby blues" " one of me with you" "tiny bare feet on blades of grass".
-
Its not about Newtown, she wrote that song way before that...
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
it sounds like its about the loss of a baby or little boy "Blades of grass on tiny bare feet" and "In my head, I see your baby blues"
-
Hauntingly personal song about a loss of someone close and how the power of the imprint lingers everywhere, always
-
Take me to where you are when you die. Let me see you, and that you are somewhere.
