Pink: Fucking Perfect Meaning
Fucking Perfect Lyrics
Once or twice
Dug my way out
Blood and fire
Bad decisions
That's alright
Welcome to my silly life
Mistreated, misplaced,
Misunderstood
Miss knowing it's all good
It didn't slow me down.
Mistaken
Always second...

It's 100% obvious to me what the song is about.
It's about, Pink and her experiences growing up...how she felt about herself, how she went through a certain period in her life as a child with lots of self-hate and thinking that she wasn't 'normal' like the rest of the world.
She tried hard to be like everyone else, be like other girls...dress up for the prom, be excited about make-up, dressing like a girl etc....she thought she was odd for not conforming to being like 'normal' girls...so she thought she was strange and was obviously picked on and tormented by others for not being 'normal'
It took her a long time, but in the end she realised that there was NOT anything weird or wrong or un-normal about herself...she realised that she was who she was, and finally understood that she could be herself and that it was NOT wrong to think like she did and in the end basically realised that she was who she was, she was proud of who she was, the way she thought etc and took a stand never to feel she had to conform how a 'normal' girl was supposed to act.
Pink was pink - it's a song containing messages to other people who are growing up and start to deveop self-hate, thinking that they are not 'normal' a message to try, just try and help them to be 100 happy with themselves and stand up for themselves and to NEVER go through what she went through...it's about NOT trying to change yourself or to try hard to be someone your not, or what people perceive as ..'normal'
Basically, she's saying....be who you are, never think your less than perfect, don't try to change yourself to fit in with the crowd....don't let anyone bully you into thinking your weird, strange etc etc.
you are you. accept yourself, love yourself and be who you are....be a leader, not a follower.
you don't like 'going to the prom' don't like wearing a dress and getting your nails done etc etc etc?? then you are NOT strange, weird etc, you are you, stand up and walk tall, be proud of who you are.
love yourself. don't go through years of self-hate and loathing yourself and trying to change yourself for anyone else, or to blend in with the crowd etc. -
she means dont let people tell you your not perfect and that dont change your looks because the people dont like you for you.
she is telling her fans andthe media that they are perfect and that they shouldnt think so bad about themselves. (: -
I have a feeling that it is about her, because she says why do I do that in one of the lyrics, it kind of seems like she's referring to herself in the third person in a way, and that the video ways showing her life since she was little. I say this because in the video pink is in the back ground and she raises her glass too her younger self. raise your glass even though its more of a party song the chorus "So raise your glass if you are wrong,In all the right ways,All my underdogs,We will never be never be anything but loud And nitty gritty dirty little freaks" i feel its almost like a sequel to fucking perfect.

ok personally, i think this is just saying, ok look guys, yeah society says that girls have to be this skinny and guys have to look this way. pesonally, i think that this is just saying, screw what society says, ur beautiful the way you are. you don't need to change urself just to please others. after seeing the video for it (and crying my eyes out), i think it really has an impact on teenage girls. its showing that girls will resort to, just to feel pretty. we will make ourselves throw up to get skinny, we'll slit our wrists. we do so much crazy stuff. and for what? just to please guys and society. sure some people think it's crazy and none of that ever happens, well welcome to reality people!!! waay too many girls do this.

I think its to her baby, cuz in the video it starts off with a little girl that grows up being an outsider and not the popualr girl. That's what it was like for her, she was very into drugs. In the end the main girl in the video looks like her like the hair and shit the only difference is that she is a painter instead of a singer but none the less an artist. She ends it with signing the lyrics to the little girl saying you're fucking perfect to me, sending a message to her child that none matter what others think her kid will always be perfect to her! At least that's what I think..

This song is about her. No doubt , it is written in the third person, she is telling her mind to stop the self doubt, telling herself that she has dealt with her past, her demons etc and has to move on. When I hear this song, I feel it personally. it makes me realise that I am not unique and that many people suffer from problems - like depression that for some people like me has a base in self doubt. It's a beatiful song, powerful uplifting and introspective. I love it.

I thought this was about her showing that she cares for others that she's showing a helping hand, but I was wrong this is about her unborn son :/
-
I think she used to be that sad kid and she thought she wasn't good enough so she cut off all her hair and changed herself to get more confidence?? Anyone agree?
-
I think this song is about someone close to her, and that this someone went through a hard time. So pink then wrote "Fucking Perfect" for this special someone.
-
Pink wrote it for her child .. Pink is expecting. I think she wrote this for her daughter or son, so that they don't have to go through what she did.
-
what she acually talking about is raise your glass is about being gay bi lesbian saing raise ur glass if your wrong in all the right ways because people think its wrong to be gay bi lesbain
so this song is saying no matter what you are your always going to be perfect to her no matter what anyone else thinks remember ur laways perfect
the girl cutting herself reffers to gkids these days who cut because they hate who they are. -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I'm pretty sure she sings about someone else that is close to her. If you watch the music video, you can see close to the end that the woman in the video is at the gallery and pink stands over in the other end of the room and makes a friendly greeting gesture. This is about someone she know or knew that express her emotions through art, and used the art to save her own life.
I came to this solution from the fact that Pink has had a good life, therefore the story is not about her. People seem to think it is for her baby, but seeing as this would then be a video saying "don't make the same mistakes as me" it can't be for her baby, because as mentioned her life was nothing like the one depicted in the song/video. The other fact is that pink does that friendly greeting gesture to the woman in the video. This is an obvious sing that this is someone she knows. I mean, why put yourself in a video to greet a character that IS yourself?
This brings me to the solution that it is definitely based on the life of a friend she has, that made it through her tough life. -
This song is telling people the even though you may see your own flaws and not the flaws of others. They're still there. Don't think that your less than someone else..everyone is equal and because of that your f**king perfect.
