Pink: Runaway Meaning
Runaway Lyrics
Got my sleeping bag, climb out the window
All the pictures and pain, I've left behind
All the freedom and fame, I've gotta find
And I wonder, how long it will take them
To notice that I'm...

I am not sure if this "run" is really a run, but more the idea to commit suicide. A lot of people imagine in extreme dispute situations their own death and how their friends and family members would take that. I think that the source for this is her parents divorce and her self-esteem problems, but despite other opinions I would say that those events resulted into suicidal thoughts, since she is clearly believing it's all her fault "I was just trying to be myself".

In this song she is trying to run away from something which causes her pain, but I believe she is really running from herself. 'Wasn't it you that made me run away' is almost a question, trying to shift the blame onto somebody else. I think she is her own worst enemy in this song, but is searching for other people or things to blame her feelings on, not being able to cope with her emotions. Instead, she listened to the voice in her head telling her to 'run before [she's] dead'. She has lost control of her emotions and is searching for a way out of it, a new way of life. This could perhaps relate to the divorce of her parents, as she has referred to in many of her songs.
