#1 top rated interpretation:i think that this song is about a relationship between post and a woman, which is falling apart but i think that post is still in love with her. he just doesn’t know if he should stay because although he is in love with this girl, he is not in a healthy relationship. he just wants to stay, but he fears that he just can’t.

It may be about life, and wondering if the efforts we put in life and relationships are worth it since it all ends anyway. I think it highlights that we all take life for granted, often forgetting that we will all one day die. Saying that I'm here but don't count on me to stay, may indicate that he is warning her not to expect forever. Also saying, "don't break your back for me, il put you out of your misery" could mean, let's not fight too much, il be gone soon. We all just want to know that it's going to be ok/worth it (tell me that it's all ok, I've been waitn on this all damn day). "all dam day" could signify waitn his whole life for this answer. There may be suicidal notions or just a realization of the fragility of life.

But she just wants him to fuck off and pour another drink. She is to drunk to talk. Meanwhile he is sitting in greif seeing the relationship falling apart. He wants her to tell him that it is all okay. He has been waiting all damn day for her to say it. But she won’t. It is not mutual. She’s about the fun and the second hand fame she would get from being with him. To him, it is nothing, and he doesn’t want to believe it. To her, it is all about greed.

I feel like this song is about a relationship breaking. whether romantic or not. these two people are clearly drifting away but , post wants it to be ok wanting validation from the other half of this relationship, but the other half isn’t treating him ok. and post will always love the other half, but he can’t keep putting himself through this wringer that is this dying, toxic relationship.

I think it's about how he loves her, and wants her to tell him everything is okay, but she is just becoming distant from him. He's looking for reassurance from her because he feels awful, but she's just pushing him away. He still wants to be there for her and he still loves her, but he knows it isn't good for himself to stay.

No one should be broken over someone who obviously wasn’t worth it, I think he deserves better, yes it’ll take time, but once you get it you won’t regret it, yes it’ll be awhile and he’ll have many other girls before that one special person, but it’s just the way it works, I understand that no one wants to be alone, relatable, but he’ll reach where he wants. I wish the best for him and I hope he keeps his career in his good hands. I hardly doubt that post would read this but I’m sure someone will, but if he does read it, I wish the best for you, don’t let your career slip away from you. Don’t give up! It’ll take time I promise but don’t waste time on girls like that. Keep your head up high but not too high, don’t worry about the past nor future, don’t think negativity, just positivity, your fans love you, hell I listen to your music EVERYDAY after I’m done with school, I feel like your music reaches out to me, without you I don’t know what I’ll do, your music puts me in my calm mood, when I’m upset or depressed I’ll listen to this song, cry, get the teas all out and rest, yes your music is an inspiration to me, I’m drawing something that involves music because of you.!
