I agree. I wish I could know for sure, but I feel it's about how low America has become, maybe morally, and the negative direction society went. The sick and stupid things we glorify in the media, like we're becoming so numb and brain-dead to what is intelligent and important and not to mention a valuable time investment. And also our freedom that we "supposedly" have as American citizens vs Government control. I dunno. I think there is a lot more to it, inscribed instrumentally and metaphorically. Whateves. I love this song so much.

I personally think its about what the world and America has come to and the stupid choices some people make. And what society has come to. I love this song! :)
