Puscifer: Horizons Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Horizons Lyrics
It's still not real
Ash and urn and silence
Talk to me
Dust devil swept you away
My recollections are all that's left of you
Swirl and sway
Without me
Dust devil swept you away
Whirling playful dancing
About...
-
I guess I’m coming from a different perspective on this song because of my recent rabbit Into the mud flood in the late 1800s early 1900s in the events that took place there’s a lot that helped me reference this this song in particular and the dustbowl. There’s a lot of people lost in. There was the song arson that lends me to believe he’s talking about the people responsible for the fires throughout the entire world that every major city experienced during the time I mentioned earlier, there’s something very nefarious at play and I believe Maynard knows the history! It all goes very deep deep matters in my mind and yes Maynard keeps his story ongoing through his groups to a perfect circle and Puscifer they’re all different of understanding for him, I believe in his way sharing that with us his most artistic way. As only Maynard! His heavenly voice, Bravado tickles my spine!
I said that Maynard knows the secrets Carefully hidden by our Mysterious Jesu roots -
I feel like this song is about losing someone you loved dearly that you cant ever talk to again. It could be about death or to me its about someone that is alive and has left you in silence morning them everyday. I miss my husband everyday. He knows who he is and i pay for it everyday.

This song is about death in general. And the living dealing with the aftermath. Maynard in an interview said it was about death. Not about the death of his mother. Dust devil = the death coming to take you away. We all turn to dust after we die.

It means something different to everybody's personal feelings to the song... Its FUCKN AMAZING!!!
-
Definitely about his mother but also I think it's about cocaine being the dust devil taking away someone probably a girlfriend who got all zombie or Dracula.D out or strung out to the point of being basically dead or might as well be ash and urn compared to the playful person he once knew what's left of you after drug addiction..or could be a self reflection..lots of these songs are about recovery in some way or another.
