Oceans Lyrics
-
To me, it's a beautiful but bitter peice. Oddly enough, when I found this song, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 liver/pancreatic cancer. She had beautiful blue eyes that could see right through you and into who you are.
She never judged, and was always welcoming of anyone I brought over.
It's a song that makes me cry every time I hear it because of the association, but again, bitter sweet. I miss you, mom.

I think this song is about someone’s beautiful blue eyes. Oceans is a metaphor for them. The song is told by someone who has been sheltered and meeting someone who is the opposite (free spirit).
-
Someone, maybe with an illness, knowing, and wise.
Ready to pass on, telling the stories of their life, and knowing that through all the good and bad, it is soon time to move on and be released into the universe. -
I fell like it could be talking about a traveler like a man or a boy telling him how he came to earth or his origin of the ocean and a creature like a crab or to me it's like a picture in my head of a past of all the good this in life or awesome adventure's and if you lisen to the song it is explicit picture of life's adventure's
-
This song is more about conveying the overall feel of the ocean as a kind of unknowable force. The sway of the music is almosy like the tides and also i suppose not having ever seen the ocean like the song suggests then it would be an even more alien thing
