Rachel Platten: Fight Song Meaning
Song Released: 2015
Fight Song Lyrics
take back my life song
prove i'm alright song
my powers turned on
starting right now,ill be strong
ill play my fight song
and i dont really care if anyone else believes
cause ive still got a fight left in me
-
I think this song is about being empowerment to our friends, then I wouldn’t be scared of everything like, hokie bird, and accept Bruno. But I wrote this song to my mascots that I will be braver and fight them again. Then I would play this song to help me be brave, as I can be.
-
I think this song is very empowering because I am scared of Bruno. Even the homie bird. But I’ve always wrote this song, then I would fight them and try to beat them up.
-
it was great and help me to relax when i'm stress in school... :)
-
I think it means show the world who you really are and dont let people think that your weaker and prove them wrong.
-
I think this song is about how Rachel feels like everybody thinks that she's going through a tough time and treating her differently. Why do u think some of the lyrics are "prove I'm alright song?"
-
this song is about how you conquered your fears is don't matter who you are or how many things you have done in your life just believe in yourselves. that is my fight song whats yours?
-
I honestly believe this song actually reminds me when I went through depression when I was being picked on, and yet I still believed in myself. and around a year ago there was this guy, the was about 5'4" and he literally had the time of his life just picking on me for just being my own gd self.

Anyone can make an impact on the world "like a small boat on the ocean".
The chorus is about proving how tough you are or singing your "fight song" for the world to hear.
This song is basically about persevering when life throws you a challenge. I love this song a lot! -
"Like a small boat, on the ocean, sending big waves into motion" little things in life can cause a major impact in the long run
"and all those things I didn't say, wrecking balls inside my brain" some people don't share their feelings when times are tough
"I will scream them loud tonight, can you hear my voice this time" People struggling with life try to reach out to people until they succeed in gaining help
The chorus is about overcoming the difficulties and gaining control of your life" -
I sang this at a talent show and every one loved it I would recommend this to sing for something similar to my situation.
The song is about how everyone has to express their feelings and to never get nervous about letting go your bottled up expressions spill out of yourself. Remember to fight against those mean words bullies can say. Its good to be quiet and shy but if something is hurting you inside make sure to speak up and scream if you have to! I hope my advice helps you! :) -
This following song has a clearer message, in which I interpreted as overcoming challenging events in one’s life. Even though these unnamed problems have affected you greatly to a point where you feel that there is no return, there is hope for a brighter tomorrow. Through this song we learn that it is possible to get through our problems. We learn that things do get better and we are more than capable of overcoming anything that comes in our way. In the end you are stronger than you think you are and even if no one else is there for you, you must always pick yourself up.
