   i think this is all about being alone. "scar tissue that i wish you saw" he is saying he was alone, he wanted someone to see that he is hurting and he is loseing his fight with heroine addiction he needed help but he got none. "With the birds Ill share This lonely view" thats just saying once again he is alone "Push me up against the wall Young kentucky girl in a push-up bra" i think he i saying that his addiction is as he said pushing him up against the wall and young kentucky girl in a push up bra i think is a metaphor for how addicting heroine and how tempting it is. its like a young kentucky girl that push you up against the wall who wouldnt want that. i mite be over thinking this especially the kentuky girl part but this is what i think

   I feel that this song is just about feeling lonely. The girls mentioned in this song could actually be just random girls that anthony hooked with. the part mentioning her heart and health could be his attempts to cling to something postive and loving- but it is useless because it is just a fleeting moment. The scar tissue is most likely the scars from the actual experince of the drugs- i don't exactly believe it is simply referring the physical scars because those are visable. there is an emotional scar that people that haven't been in that experience, can't see. they may think they know - hence sarcastic know it all- but they can't. a lot of times when people feel alone they often find more peace alone in nature- even if it is at the park or hidden. It is this way because when they are alone they don't have to pretend to be okay. they are able to be themselves. perhaps where kedis felt most at peace was somewhere where there were birds near and he felt a connection in that they were present when he was being himself. therefore they see what he sees, he is able to look at the world through his eyes and not the holes of a mask and the birds and him are looking at the same view.

   I personally believe that this song is about Frusciante's sprial into drug use and depression. "Scar Tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all" - Frusciante and Kiedis have both revealed that Kiedis used to pick on frusciante, however kiedis did not know that it really destroyed frusciante inside, "scar tissue that I wish you saw", this is also a double meaning, possibly refering to the scars on frusciante's arms, caused from not injecting properly.
   
   I sense the line "push me up against the wall, young kentucky girl in a push-up bra" may be sarcastic, frusciante became bitter towards the fame rhcp had gained from bssm. However it could also be a plea of surrender, Kiedis or frusciante have both surrendered themselves to the lifestyle of rock stardom (I say surrender, coz the line is submissive - "push me up against the wall")
   
   "Falling all over over myself to lick your heart and taste your health" - this could refer to the very common human pusuit of enlightenment and good health spritually aswell as physically, but using drugs in hope to acheive it - "falling all over myself".
   
   "with the birds I share this lonely view" - a reference to being high on drugs, like he is saying "im high up with the birds, but it only makes me depressed coz all I see is how low I am and how bad things are for me.

   "With the birds I share this lonely view" is referring to when his dad was beating up Anthony and no one would help but but as he looked up, he saw birds hovering over him as if they were watching him.

   It's about a drug addiction. when he was young he knew everything and nothing had consequences...sarcastic mr knowitall. He made stupid choices while under its effects. Push me up aginst the wall, young kentucky girl in a pushup bra.

   I could be wrong, but one way I always interpreted the lines "Blood loss in a bathroom stall, Southern girl with a scarlet drawl, Wave good-bye to ma and pa" as him talking about a girl who lost her virginity in a bathroom stall, saying goodbye to ma and pa would be like saying goodbye to her childhood with the loss of her virginity. But its also really likely to be about Anthony's heroin addiction.

   To me, this is about having loved someone, then getting your heart broken, but still trying to be friends with them and act like everything's ok, and fine, while wanting to break down every time you see them, hence "scar tissue that I wish you saw". Then you watch them grow farther and farther apart from you, but you still know they think about you, and you just watch in silent regret as they make their way in the world. you share your view of their life with the birds, so far away and lonely.

   I read the book written by AK.
   sarcastic mr know it all is Dave Navarro who played with the band when John frusciante left the band after recording BSSM. Dave Navarro only recorded one hot minute with the band. at the end of one video anthony and dave kissed and that's why it says "sarcastic mr know it all close your eyes and ill kiss you..."Anthony says int he book "I guess I was thinking about him when I wrote that line" the whole "scar tissue that I wish you saw" is about..drugs of course and how they leave scars/marks whatever but anthony really kind of means it in way to where its the "past" something that has happend but it is always with me and ill never forget it. everybody thinks that this song is about a specific girl. and typically it's about drug use. rhcp is a weird pshycodelic band. nothing they ever write can really be interpreted correctly only they will ever know exactley what the song actually means.

    It's about the morning after a bar fight. "Sarcastic mister know it all" is the guy he fought. "Kentucky girl in a push up bra" is the girl he might have hit on (mr. know it all's girlfriend). The part about the birds his when he's telling about it. The only person that will listen is the birds.

    I think Anthony is talking about all the hard times he's had with drugs, relationships, friendships and so on, and that he wishes at the time people would have taken notice and saw that he was in a bad way.
    
    The ''sarcastic mr know it all'' is dave navarro. Anthony states that in his book.

    I think this song is about a girl that this guy is in love with but can't talk to. He tries everything to get her to notice him, and he states that he might be taking it too far.

    I believe in this song he is trying to help someone he knows is going down the same path as him but can do nothing to stop it. "Scar tissue that I wish you saw" means he has no physical proof to show his struggle. "Sarcastic mister know it all" just means when your young you think you know everything. "Close you eyes and I'll kiss you" refers to keeping your eyes closed to the path of destruction, but I'll kiss you and wish you the best, since I can't make you change. "With the birds I'll share this lonely view" means I can see what's to come for you, but once again you can't see it, so he just shares it with the birds. "Soft spoken with a broken jaw, step outside but not to brawl" His broken jaw comes from ignorance, from thinking he knew everything and has since learned, so now he's more soft spoken.

    I believe this song is talking about how it's lonely and hard trying to make it to the top. The young Kentucky girl trying to make her way in the world. Leaving her home and setting off to the moon. With birds I'll share this lonely view.

    In Anthony's autobiography, also named Scar Tissue, there is a mention of a Kentucky girl (his "Kentucky dream") that he saw at a concert and lusted after until he got her.
