Can't Fight This Feeling Lyrics
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship
Has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show
I tell myself that I can't hold out forever
I said there is no...

#1 top rated interpretation:He can't hold onto the feeling anymore and has to tell her the truth.. That deep down in his heart he really loves her, so he decides to finally tell her because he can't fight the feeling anymore. He trys to hide his feelings for her(maybe because he doesn't feel like a man or the fact that he doesn't want to be rejected?).
Overall he's done trying to hold his feelings for her and just going to let them out and tell her the truth. He can't hold onto the love anymore.. like he can't keep holding in all the pain he's suffering from not telling her. He's madly in love. -
I believe this song is about a married man who has had a female friend for a while and can’t hide his feelings anymore for her....

I think it is a goodbye to loved ones my brother passed and this was his last post I feel it was his way of saying I am tired and just cant keep doing this any more and he was tired!
-
I feel this song is about someone falling for a friend that they have been getting close to and them realizing that they cant fight this feeling and need to express their feelings. They are afraid to show how they feel but love the y feel overcome those fears

When I first heard this song I automatically thought about a very special lady I know. She is a waitress at a restaurant I go to. She used to be my waitress but she told me I had a dream about us. I have NEVER had a woman tell me that in my whole life. So the next time I saw her I told her she could no longer be my waitress. I do regret telling her that. I still go to that restaurant and she is still there. She stares at me from a distance and is going out of her way to CONSTANTLY walk by me as I am sitting at my table eating my food. I did write this song and who signs it on a piece of paper and told my waitress to give it to her. She took it from my waitress. I just hope now she listens to this song. Then maybe she will finally know that I "Can't Fight This Feeling".

my interposition of this song is a little deeper than the surface meaning.
Due to the time it was created and Aids and SIDS's , i believe the song is about a man that wants to have sex without a condom.
If you listen to the song with that in the back of your mind, you will see what I mean! -
Asking her to get married? Him saying he will throw the oars away forever implies getting down on one knee. That's the best I got.
