Rihanna: California King Bed Meaning
Song Released: 2011
California King Bed Lyrics
Nose to nose
Palm to palm
We were always just that close
Wrist wrist
Toe to toe
Lips that felt just like the inside of a rose
So how come when I reach out my finger
It feels like more than distance between...

I think this song describes a no-strings-attached relationship where two people meet only to have sex. But very often girls by their very nature develop feelings towards their partner, yet they are afraid of asking if its mutual. Its a very common example of people who are just friends with benefits

I think this is the FIRST song which isn't evil!
New album; LOUD -
This song is about being in love with someone that doesn't feel the same. He reaches out to her at the last minute before she leaves him for good because he likes having her wanting him. She had never felt love so passionate. She gets him and he gets her but he wont commit. He is on the other side of the world to her. Her bed has never felt so big and lonely for when he slept in it- she slept on his chest and they never let each other go. My bed is missing it's Californian King. I could have written these lyrics.

two people that are "seeing" each other, and the girl is confused about where they stand. he is very close to her, yet he is far at the same time. "ive been california wishing on these stars for your heart on me.."= she wishes that he would love her.
"so confused wanna ask you if you love me,but i dont wanna seem so weak"= shes confused about the situation they are in. does he love her? is he only using her? she wants to ask, yet she doesnt want to show a weakness. "just when i felt like giving up on us, you turned around and gave me one last touch, that made everything feel better and even then my eyes got wetter" = she was about to give up on him, because shes tired of waiting for him, since they have no type of relationship, he then does something that keeps her wanting more and keeps her from giving up, that made her feel better, but even then it hurt her because she knew they werent nothing more than just friends.
