Sam Smith: Latch Meaning
Latch Lyrics
-
Latch is a very sweet and romantic song. I don't agree with you. Read the lyrics of the song, it's about two people and the one singing the song is really love with him or her. Perhaps they were in a date or they had spent some time together. The one singing the song doesn't want to end his or her time with the one they are with. Maybe he or she wants to cuddle or embrace their loved one or kiss or touch them. Watch the video. More two serious meanings at song meanings.
Definitely avoid people who are a potential fatal attraction, latching, shackling, or possessive
- NOT IN ANY OF THESE RELATIONSHIPS -
I love this song so much. And I always thought it was very sweet and romantic. But doesn’t this song sound a bit like a potential fatal attraction? “Latching” onto someone or “shackling” them sounds like a possibility jealous or definitely possessive person in a relationship. I know Sam Smith has it in him to write a love song with dark undertones. Is it just me that hears that?

This is a song about endless love. Someone begging for one chance, because they know they're only complete and happy with this one person.
