Sixx:A.M.: This is Gonna Hurt Meaning
Song Released: 2011
This is Gonna Hurt Lyrics
Feels like no hope is gone
You kiss it all away
Maybe, maybe
This is a second coming
This is a call to arms
You'll find us now and we'll be
Wasted, wasted
Hey, hey
Hell is what you
Make, make
Rise...
-
The feeling Deepfake technology is giving me.
The second coming of social media's divisive aspects. -
It's about wanting to kill yourself, being that low and pulling yourself back up, out of the darkness and learning to be you again and talking about it to hopefully let others know they are not alone and can talk about it... also to give yourself strength again by doing so
-
There's one word that stands out the most when I hear this song: Rebellion.
"Hell is what you make
Rise against your faith
Nothing's gonna keep you down
Even if it's killing you
Because you know the truth"
This indicates defying an authority you trusted, using violence. A common circumstance in war; when physical harm doesn't matter because the cause is most important. Hence Ghandi: 'You will have my dead body, but not my obedience.'
"Listen up, listen up
There's a devil in the church"
"You can scream and you can shout
Keep your secrets in the shadows and you'll be sorry"
The rebel points out a traitor among everyone, the leader, while calling for allies against said person. The rebel threatens to expose the secrets of the leader, secrets that will prove their dark intentions.
"You got your hell together
You know it could be worse
A self-inflicted murder"
"You say it's all a crisis
You say it's all a blur
There comes a time you've gotta face it, face it"
This segment talks about the perspective of suicidal behavior. When you're aware you tend to overestimate the intensity of a bad situation, but think of suicide anyway. You may even be conveniently forgetful about your faults & flaws that brought you to this state of mind. As long as you can't bring yourself to an end, there's still time to reflect on yourself, your options & find the solution. -
That is a valid interpretation of the song, I agree with it that you should talk about your problems and maybe if you do not then you will regret it
-
This song is talking about how someone is struggling in life, "feels like your life is over, feel like all hope is gone" but proceeds to talk about how you can fight back and change, "...you know it could be worse..." "let it out let it out you can scream and you can shout, keep your secrets in the shadows and you'll be sorry". It's pinpointed on the fact that if you're struggling to talk to people, to fight back, to not give up and fight back.
-
Might be about scuicide? IDK
-
This song is about how you may be hurt by the truth. It is about how different people are the ones who have to wear the biggest armor because they get hurt the most. It tells how you should listen to what these people have to say, if not it may bite you in the A** later on.
