Slipknot: This Cold Black Meaning
This Cold Black Lyrics
Mother Nature is a Coward (Mother Nature is a Whore)
No More Presence / No More Power (I pray for death, by the hour)
Cut Another Smile Into Me (Into ME is All You Are)
My Artifice won't Recognize Me (You won't find me)......
-
We are suppressed by the anger, oppression and isolation of our government and the wealthy few that make the rules. We have to conform to what is expected of us or find another way to make it without any assistance from the ones that have the resources to provide it. While the wealthy inherit their entitled comfort zone, the rest of us need to put forth our best efforts to overcome disparage of our upbringing and find our own way to make it. While we often struggle with PTSD, depression, anxiety and self-doubt, we may have issues with chemical dependency. If we give into the undercurrent, we get smashed against the rocks of hopelessness and meet our demise. What we're left with is resentment and turmoil. We realize that we can be cast out into the darkness of shame. There maybe no way back when we take that path. This reality can call out our inner strength or beat us to death with it's violent truth. Does anyone really ask for this bleak existance? Are we beaten to death before we even get a chance to apply our worth and talents? Does life leave us in this cold black because we were born into a compromised fate? Does anyone really care?
