Something Corporate: (Hurricane) The Formal Weather Pattern Meaning
(Hurricane) The Formal Weather Pattern Lyrics
for goodness sake I think I'm on the edge
of something new with you.
Shout out, don't drown the sound, I'll drown you out,
you'll never scream so loud as I want to scream with you.
Standing there with your...

About a stirring around an eye, how silent inside, how chaotic outside, knowing where someone is and not being able or knowing there is a time and place for everything, I appreciate and respect and must be patient and must take care of me and I thank you and I thank you, help me share what I have with you, help me bring it out, I could say this too will pass, but there is no pass, I was lied to and denied access and I brought it all on myself, lay it on me I would if you let me just drop it down and tell me all about it lay it on me, if I dare go there as in the place you dance for the profits I made will be truly wasted, I will ride it out with you, I can hear you but like my dad in the plane he could not hear the towers trying to apporach him, I must leave, give you space before we both get burned in the

To break it down, my interpretation:
'I think I'm on the edge of something new with you'
-Feeling like there's something there.
'Standing there with your smile blinding your eyes from seeing my face as I'm dying to figure out a girl. But she drifts so far away, I'm on her coast, so maybe I should stay and map around your world.'
-He loves her smile, and she doesn't notice that he's trying to figure out how she feels about him. She keeps her distance, but he feels like he's so close that he can figure her out.
'So don't say, "These currents are still killing me" and you can't explain how the wind went and pulled me into your hurricane.'
-I'm not too sure on this one, but the currents are the things that are going on in her life, and the hurricane is her mess of a life.
'The world moves faster than I knew, not fast enough to not creep up on you and the space we put between.'
-To him it feels like things are going too fast in life, but it's taking forever to get close enough to her.
'So pull me under your weather patterns, your cold fronts and the rain don't matter, because a sun burn's what I needed.'
-Cold fronts = being cold/angry; Rain = Depression/Sadness; Sunburn = Feeling the heat/passion [possibly?]
'You don't do it on purpose but you make me shake now I count the hours 'til you wake. With your babies breath, breathe symphonies, come on sweet catastrophe. Well maybe this time I can follow through, I can feel complete, stop paying dues. Stop the rain from falling keep my oceans calm this time I know nothing's wrong.'
-She doesn't know that she makes him nervous because he doesn't know what to do. Breathe symphonies, her voice is like music to his ears, and he's expecting something to go wrong. When he says follow through...stop paying dues, last time he was too afraid to do anything about it, and now he can finish what he starts and stop regretting it. Stop the rain from falling... nothing's wrong is him getting out of the depression, and the anger will be gone because there's nothing wrong. -

I think it's about a guy who has fallen deeply in love with a girl who has a "hurricaine" of emotions. Hes dying to figure her out and get inside her head so he can understand why she's the way she is because he loves her so much and wants to share her pain.

This song is about falling in love and fearing that it be unrequited. "You don't do it on purpose but you make me shake..." He is saying how he is falling in love with her and she doesn't know what she is doing to him, how she drives him crazy. "Come on sweet catrostophie.." is saying that he is going to take the risk and tell her how he feels, even though he thinks that it might fall apart.
