Move Along Lyrics

Go ahead as you waste your days with thinking
When you fall everyone stands
Another day and you've had your fill of sinking
With the life held in your...
Hands are shaking cold
These hands are meant to hold

Speak to me, when all you got...

Wow, its not about suicide, you all must be depressed!! It's just about getting through a hard time in your life, nothing close to suicide.

I think songs have multiple interpretations sometimes. I think there is both a suicide note and a simple just keep moving note. I found a really good music video on youtube that I think showed really well what the song was talking about but I can't find it anymore so don't bother looking.

I think it COULD apply to suicide, but doesn't necessarily. For example, when he says, "Go ahead as you waste your days with thinking" It could be, maybe someone is obsessed with some sort of regret and can't stop thinking about it.

Also, as above, "A day when you lose yourself completely/could be a night when your life ends" sounds a bit like it could refer to suicide.

So I think he's saying, when something goes wrong or life just has you down, you just have to keep moving, and come talk to me, because I'll help you.

This song is actually about suicide because 3 days before their tour started there keyboardist committed suicide because he was high on meth. I saw it, it was very gory. He grabbed a gun and shot up in his mouth.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I read on a website that Tyson Ritter (the lead singer and bassist) and Nick Wheeler (guitar player) wrote this song after the band had to cancel a tour because their touring keyboardist commited suicide a few days it was supposed to start. You can make a connection to tho video in the begining when Tyson appears to be purposley falling into an empty swimming pool. The message of this song is to well..."Move Along" and look at it as the glass half full.

"When you fall everyone stands" indicates that when you're in a bad situation everyone else seems to be okay and your the only one who's dealing with heartache. The chorus indicates that even when your down or in the worst situation you gotta keep livin and keep movin on despite what's happened to you...despite what situation you're in..

I'm pretty sure it's just a song about how we should all move along if all we need to keep is strong. I don't know how someone COULDN'T understand these lyrics.... They're terribly straight forward. It has such an up-beat tune, I think the songs just saying "You there! STOP MOPING AND FRIGGEN BE HAPPY! You're alive, ain't ya? Be strong, move along! Talk to me when there's a problem, because /I/ certainly know how to be strong!"

And, uh, suicide? I think NOT. You know how people who are depressed and down and stuck are usually the people who overthink things until there's nothing left? Yeah. Don't waste your time with thinking!

I think that Move Along is about suicide. When someone dies, you need to move along and forget about it. You love that person so much that you've just gotta forget about. I miss a whole bunch of people that have commented suicide. It touches my heart so much it's hard to forget about it.

I think it's about suicide. Like when he says"So a day when
you've lost yourself completely, could be a night when your life ends."

Clearly this song is about not giving up in times of difficulty. When it looks like you cannot make it to the next day, you just literally have to. Its not just about suicide it's about the downfalls in life and the hard times that fall on everyone and how we all have to make it through to that next day.

He is singing to his girlfriend trying to cheer her up. To moe along with all the things that she is going through. He said "hands are shaking cold, thses hands are mine to hold speak to me" he is trying to get her through every thing.

This song, "move along," is one of my favorites, and it is meant to be an inspirational song. It's basically saying not to give up and that there is always a solution to one's problems.
