Takeaway Lyrics
Your heart for takeaway, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah
Your heart for takeaway, yeah yeah, yeah yeah
Your heart for takeaway, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah
Hey, hey, hey
Where do you think you're going?
It's...

#1 top rated interpretation:My interpretation would be: the girl and the guy have feelings for each other, but they are not yet a couple. The girl knows it would be impossible for them to be together, due to the distance or the reality. She leaves by cutting off the contacts, to prevent themselves from falling deeper in love, so to protect herself from the pains of longing for the other person. She wants the guy’s “heart for takeaway” because she wants to be remembered. She’s still in love.

#2 top rated interpretation:I'm guessing the song is being sung by someone with an avoidant attachment style. It's one of the 3 main attachment styles. A person who has such an attachment style craves to be in love and relationship as much as the next person. However, influenced by childhood trauma, they also have this belief that they can never rely on someone. They have, for lack of a better term, trust issues. So they don't exactly believe it when someone says they love them. Now this all must sound confusing so I'll break it down with a few examoles :
"Hey, hey, hey, where do you think you're going...
I said, I can't stay..... it's just me, me, me, it's what I want."
Most common trait of an avoidant - they need a lot of personal space. If their partner asks them to spend a little more time with them, they'll feel suffocated and ask for space. This can occasionally make them want to detach and distance them from their partner.
"Before I love you na, na, na - I'm gonna leave you na, na, na"
These people literally have a fear of attachment. So they try to get away from people before getting too involved.
"Before I'm someone you leave behind, I'll break your heart so you don't break mine."
Here we get a glimpse of that underlying trauma. In case of most avoidants, in early childhood they were neglected by their parents which creates a core belief in them - no one can be depended upon, everyone will eventually leave, every relationship will end in hurt and pain. Thus, the avoidant wanting to "avoid" that pain - wants to break their partner's heart before theirs is broken.
This is simply my explanation of the lyrics and I think it fits well with the song. -
I am seeing this from a lady perspective The lady loves the guy but she thinks that the relationship will not workout between them she is in love already but then she has to walk away before he breaks her heart
-
the guy and the girl have feelings for each other, now they have got the doubt of their love to work out.
-
I think the guy loved her but he insisted on not opening up because he was afraid she would break his heart, so the girl tries to find out and he insists and instead turns her Dow
-
He is going to leave his lover before he can be left
he still wants his lover to love him and he still loves her
he doesn't want his heart broken
