The Rolling Stones: Beast of Burden Meaning
Song Released: 1978
Beast of Burden Lyrics
my back is broke,my feet hurting
all i want is for you to make love to me
Am i hard enough,am i tough enough,am i rich enough im not to blind to see
I'll never be your beast of burden so lets go home and draw...
-
My Interpretation of the lyrics are that he doesn't want to carry someone's burdens and he doesn't want his special someone to carry his. Making Love is what he wants to do. He's speaking of his own insecurities as well.He wants to know if he's good enough.
He wants to know if he can please her. Is he hard enough, tough enough, rich enough.

(From the perspective of the singer) I don’t want to be the person in which you take advantage of my friendship and kindness because you know how I feel about you and you know how to use it against me
-
I'll never be the guy to carry all your baggage. But we can still make love.
