Thrice: All That's Left Meaning
All That's Left Lyrics
When all our answers never came
We hid the truth beneath our skin but
Our shadows never looked the same
A ghost is all that's left
Of everything we swore we never would forget
We tried to bleed the...

Ahh shit, this song has a special meaning to me... I know that the ending of the song points to "losing your faith, can you be saved, etc." being pretty literal. That is the most base meaning for this song.
But artists say taht a song can have multiple meanings, whatever the listener wants as long as it makes sense. So to me...this song brings back memories about my old group of friends and we drifted apart, and we could try to hang out and we would just fight and shit because everyones egos got big or whatever, we all had different ways to view things, and it was like an invisible force that was just driving us apart. I dunno, we just werent clicking like we were when we were younger. (We couldn't stop the bleeding) We all used to be optimistic, saying we were gonna be "kickin ass at life one day" basically, but in the present day were all pretty much losers. "Our shadows never looked the same""One day, the dreamers died within us." I dunno, I really think we all had more of an effect on each other that we initially thought, I can't help but think that things would be better if my friends and I could just stop being assholes, and we could have supported each other in life into being successful.
Take it from me. don't take shit for granted people. Its a natural part of human nature, to eventually take stuff for granted, because we have it for so long, but for real. Your familly and friends, don't be assholes to each other and remmembr that you're supposed to love each other. Don't take each other for granted. Sorry to go away from the songs base meaning so much, there's just another meaning to it for me.
