Yellowcard: Holly Wood Died Meaning
Holly Wood Died Lyrics
-
My aunt dated someone in the group. Her name was holly woods she hung her self cause life was hard. They dedicated this song to her.
-
I think it refers to the highway as a metaphor of life. She had trouble at the beginning of her life 'when we were young' and went through a lot of emotional damage or use of drugs etc. 'Nobody told her she'd lose in the first round'. There were 'Rescuers working to clean up the crashes' could be people giving her help (e.g a therapist). She goes through so much that she's 'flying away now' and she shuts everybody out or possibly goes to rehab. The guy cares about her, and says he'll be there when she comes back.
