It's about cocaine, and someone using it. knowing that it's about drugs though makes this song not so good anymore, because it doesn't belong in Yellowcard. This is the type of song I'd expect from something like Reliant K...

It's about Special K addiction aka Ketamine or cat tranquilizer.

I'm not sure that he may have died exactly. The video makes it seem that way, but the song doesn't so much to me. But yeah, it had to be a close friend who died or almost died of drugs and when you really sit down and listen to the song, it can hit you pretty hard.

Powder is about a close friend of the band and Ryan especially, who had a lot of troubles with drugs and he might have died.
