We once prided ourselves on reputable traits, but now admire artificial beauty rather than our true selves. This song, obviously, is about taking vanity straight to the head. Basically, the artist is saying you don't have to be a bimbo with silicon and glitter to be pretty. I think that everyone should just think the same way about this. The artist also kinda says that if a person chooses to live this kind of life, the 'ego will kill what's left inside'.
