Adele: Best for Last Meaning
Best for Last Lyrics
It's been there for days on end and
It's been waiting for you to open up
Just you baby, come on now
I'm trying to tell you just how
I'd like to hear the words roll out of your mouth finally
Say that...

'Best For Last' is about Adele trying to get a guy who at first, was just a temporary fix; she originally hadn't intended to spend alot of time on this boy, as she says in the chorus. After time, it seems that she grows more attached to him, that she's been waiting for him to open up, which he's not. Finally; she falls hard, wanting him too tell her that she's all he needs, but he ends up playing her. The feeling is infuriating; how is it fair that someone who originally had been nothing had ended up taking advantage of her? The feeling and wanting is what the song is trying to say.
