In my perspective, as Steven says
"Something wrong with the world today, I don't know what it is? Somethings wrong with our eyes."
I think of that portion of the song as, we don't see problems in our world because of the publicity stunts held by famous people, we talk about The Kardasians or however you spell it, but we never talk about the pollution and violence in our world. He's trying to tell us to open our eyes and fix the shit we've caused. -
