You Know I'm No Good Lyrics

Meet you downstairs in the bar and hurt
Your rolled up sleeves in your skull t-shirt
You say, "Why did you do with him today?"
And sniffed me out like I was Tanqueray

Cause you're my fella, my guy
Hand me your Stella and fly

    First section:
She meets her fiance in the bar, he looks fierce and is jealous, full of feeling. Sniff/ tanqueray--he smells her for evidence of an infidelity. Why, because he's her guy, she sings proudly. He hands his beer (Stella brand) to her and rushes out the door to beat up the guy, like Roger Moore would. At this point he loves her and is willing to fight for her.

Next section: She's cheating with her ex-boyfriend, who's "in a place" which indicates to me that they are having sex, but until she thinks of her fiance she can't get off, her "buzzer" doesn't go.
Then her fiance is bringing her snacks, says he's not bitter, and that when they're married the ex-boy will be gone. Notice the emotions are much less angry from the fiance. He is adjusting to her constant cheating. She cries because she notices she's losing him emotionally, although not physically.

Last section: They're together, he notices evidence of a sexual encounter with another guy while she's in the tub. He just shrugs. All his initial strong feeling for her has now faded and he just accepts her infidelities. No running out to beat up guys, no banning boyfriends after they get married. That's the worst feeling she could get, that he doesn't care anymore.

Through her infidelities she cheated herself, because as time went on, he became less emotionally attached to her, and she mourns the loss of that strong attachment.
