   I think it's about a girl in a bad relationship, where the other guy treats her badly and cheats on her, but she can't find herself to leave him because she loves him too much. Her friend tries to save her, "If only she could see what I can see, she's get out of this one, she'd get out of here." and "She takes a moment to stumble to her feet, if only I was there to hold her hand." But she won't accept her friend's help, constantly denying that her boyfriend was mistreating her, "What burns the most is that you lied right to my face, and I still hold your hand to set you free."
