Into The Fire Lyrics
Take it all back
Take it all back
I'm not too sure what I'm supposed to do with this
These hands, this mind, this instability
From a cage I created to a hell that heaven made
Can't let go of the hatred 'cause I love the...

In the first half of the video it shows Danny seeing what he did to the band, killing them as he left and they lost faith in him after he tried to kill them, meaning when he left they no longer wanted him and that's why they were dead, as in their eyes they were as good as dead to him. Ben did not die, he struggled, gasping for life, trying to still hold on to Danny even after he left him for death, but refusing to accept death, representing leaving him behind as Danny left them behind.
In the song Danny says he wouldn't take back a moment, even after leaving them dead he still holds on to who he was and won't leave that part of himself behind, despite what he's done in the past that might seem that way. Then at the end, he closes his eyes as he sacrifices himself to kill the evil version of himself that killed the band, meaning he didn't want that part of him to exist anymore and that the death of himself to stop evil him was worth it after what all he's done.
Now if only they had Dennis in the video walking out a door in the beginning before you see Danny, and the rest of the band locking the door behind him and then Dennis turns back to the door and hesitates before continuing to leave, representing him leaving the band to go back to his family in the war zones and the rest of the band not waiting for him, so Ben, the only survivor, goes out to find Danny and finds him after the crash with himself and pulls the good Danny out of the car before both cars explode, killing the evil Danny. -
My view on the video is this: Danny turned his back on the band by leaving and going to do his own thing. In the first half of the video it shows Danny realizing what he did was a mistake and that he deserted his friends. In the second half of the video it shows his reckless downward spiral that lead him to turning his back on the band and deserting his friends. At the end of the video it shows him being mad at himself for doing these actions. Hints: this is why Danny is in both cars involved in crashing head on. He's mad at himself.

As you can see in the video, Ben is the only band member that was not dead after the crash of the "evil" Danny and him. This could mean that Ben was the only one who hasn't given up on Danny and gave him the chance to come back to the band. Ben maybe wouldn't want to cut off their friendship, so he remained alive.

This song is about coming to terms with what path in Life that is to be taken. The acknowledgement for need of change the confrontation, the collision, devastation then rehabilitation. Life through the eyes of Danny before and after his rehabilitation. Who he was and who he wanted to be collided. It's the gut wretching decision he made to kill the old self and change always knowing that there would be pain and heartache in the process. A leap of faith of sorts hence he closes his eyes before the collision. It's a story of being double minded and the Battle and anguish that comes with a double minded life... Hope you like my interpretation...Heath

From the video I think this song is an apology to the rest of the band because it shows Danny reflecting on how much he hurt them when he left and turned his back on them and he’s looking back realizing he made a mistake. I could be wrong but that’s what the video shows me.
