Blue October: Say It Meaning
Say It Lyrics
-
This one seems to be about managing anger and frustration and the things he was possibly told suring therapy sessions " I breathe it out, I breathe it out, and i spin into the crowd, cause they lift me up, the lift me up when I m feeling down"
Lots of therapists try to get you yo do meditative breathing exercises when you feel stressed, angry or overwhelmed. Lots of times you take a deep breath and do a long, slow exhale while you count to ten in your mind.
This lyric is meant yo be sarcastic, i believe. He seems to mock the therapist by saying " i don't wanna hear you say, say, say it" because he feels like his therapist does not care since he also meantions "something we never talk about" refering to his mind or mental state vs. just being taught or told to meditate whenever you are upset.
