Smoke Two Joints Lyrics

(she was living in a single room with three other individuals.
One of them was a male and the other two, well, the other two were females.
God only know what they were up to in there.
And furthermore susan, I wouldn’t be the least bit...

You all should stop arguing and just listen to the music...No matter who wrote it, Bob Marley did sing it and it wasn't just about smoking a lot of "weed". There is an actual meaning to the song when he sings it, just like every song Bob Marley sings. It's about using the gonja as it was meant to be used, to calm the body and mind regaurdless of where you are and whats happening around you. It's meant to be used in a way that connects you directly to Jah, and brings I and I together. Rastas know this, you should too.

Really guys...this is rediculous. You're arguing about a song that regardless who it was written or performed by, most the guys are dead and this song is amazing. Who cares who it's by? We all love it, that's why we looked it up. So quit dissing on each other and sit back and smoke a joint. Maybe even two... some of you need it.

OK.... lets get things straight. This song was written by bob marley and performed by bob marley. Then, later, as a cover or tribute whatever the fuck you wanna call it, was done by sublime. This is easily seen when sublime writes in a completely different style and it sounds almost like marleys version. Either way i honestly like sublimes version better. its definately wayyy cooler to listen to when your high

Ok folks, first of all there are many versions of this song by many different people/bands. Sublime's cover is probably the most well known. either way, great song... and bob marley did sing about weed. He had a whole album called "kaya"... which is another name for... you guessed it, weed.

The beginning totally gives it away. When sublime sings it sounds a lot like Marley but I can tell it's not.

Everybody who writes all this metaphorical crap is a complete idiot the song is about a guy (maybe Bob Marley) who smokes to joints in the morning and smokes to joints at night and makes him feel alright.

bad ass song, but NOT Bob Marley. like someone said above, Bob's songs aren't about weed. the version that people are getting confused with Bob is actually from a Sublime live show..check out the bootleg Contact Buzz.

Smoke Two Joints" is a song originally written by Chris Kay and Michael Kay of the band The Toyes, who performed it in traditional Reggae style and released it in 1983. According to the Toyes, "one fine fall day on a small island" of Oahu in Hawaii, two of the band members, Mawg and Sky, were sitting under a large banyan tree on Kuhio Beach, "tokin' on some sweet Kona bud & jammin' on a rootsy reggae groove" when they conceived the song "Smoke Two Joints."

It is however a very good song.

This is NOT Bob Marley, i dont know why everyone thinks it is, probably because it is reggae and talks about weed which is what he was famous for. if anyone who even listens to Bob marley would no its not him, he doesnt sing about weed. its the Toyes. As for an interpretation; isnt it obvious what the song is about.

It's still about smoking pot. I suppose you could also say there's why you should smoke pot, but I don't see much more meaning to this.
