Two is Better Than One Lyrics
You came into my life
And I thought hey
You know this could be something
'Cause everything you do and words you say
You know that it all takes my breath away
And now I'm left with...

#1 top rated interpretation:Yeah...I don't view this song as a breakup song at all. I think it's a song about a person's realization that they are in love...and that being together is starting to sound better than not being together. Young love is really difficult and I think when people first fall for each other, they're often in denial for several reasons (we've all been there.) I believe this song is about the breakthrough you have when you realize "You know what? I really am in love with this person."
The lyrics are pretty much self explanatory - They remember every little details of certain encounters, they can't stop thinking about each other...and they realize maybe they do need to be together.
Oh, "And now I'm left with nothing" is not a reference to being alone...it's a reference to him being out of breath. "You know that it all takes my breath away and now I'm left with nothing." Nothing = no breath. -

#2 top rated interpretation:I think the phrase 'comin' undone' means the writer is losing everything that means most to him because she's not there. I think it means that not having that special person to share it with, doesn't make it as special. I think it means that no matter what, there would be no one else for that one person but that one person.
Everyone was made for someone else. -

#3 top rated interpretation:Two is Better than One... For my own judgment of this song, I perceive a sad man singing this song realizing how good his life will be if he has not got himself into a relationship. On the Chorus it says, "maybe its true, that I cant live without you", I can imagine a guy who is inlove with his girl but thinks that he is better to be alone in order to grow and find more opportunity out there to improve! Its not about a third party but something to do with the psychological nature of a guy who wants to be a man but cannot prove himself because he is always with his girl, obsessed maybe or it has something to do with the girl.
"There's so much time, to figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone"
>> In here, you see the guy realizing the fact that he can do more in his life but the girl seems to insist that he is better with her forever over which I believe is wrong thinking of a girl. A man needs to improve himself and not to be stuck up with anyone else, he needs to become mature and gain his respect for himself to be happy. Its not always about love, it has something to do with the emotional behavior of a guy dealing with the reality and not only just fantasy.
Thanks for letting me interpret this song,. it amazes me to see everyone's opinion about this nice song. -
This song just makes me fall in love all over again like seriously, the lyrics points to how he saw the girl the first time and he kinda felt the sparks right there, "you came into my life and I thought hey you know this could be something" and so he starts to think of maybe planning to have a future with her..

Two is better than one for me is loving someone without knowing if that person has feelings for you. So, in the end, that person also loves you and it becomes two is better than one.

This song is about realizing you are falling in love and the stuff they are saying about it being two is better then one is its better to be with the one you love then without them and see the beauty in the relationship its a realization true love does exist but for these two Star crossed lovers who may live far apart when together they are fire and can make it through anything two is better then one. I love this song and it speaks to alot of people young and old never give up because 2 is better then one always

i think its about someone loving another person...and they cant be or live without them....theyre far apart and yet still love eachother despite the distance and stuff.. they'd rather be apart and still together rather than be apart for good|!! its a classic love story,,, i think its so cute because i can relate!

i think this song is about being torn between two lovers, the guy is currently in a relationship then this girl came out of the blue and caught his attention. "i remember what you wore on our first day you came into my life and i thought hey you know this could be something, cause everything you do and words you say you know that it all takes my breath away and now i'm left with nothing" he starts to think about the girl more often then the part where "maybe it's true that i can't live without you" he knows that he can't not be with the girl self explanatory "there's so much time to figure out the rest of my life and you've already got me coming undone" the guy knows that the right thing to do is just to choose one and only one, and that he knows that it's still to early to decide but then he was cut short and just decided to take the risk with both of them, therefore two is better than one..

I believe the writer(Martin Johnson) of this song compares how being lonely in the present isn't the same as having a lover in the past. As the song says "maybe its true, I can live without you"refers to how the writer's life went on alright even without his girlfriend, "but maybe two is better than one"refers to how it still feels better when "shes" around.
And from the second stanza, begginning with "I remember every look upon your face" shows how the writer recalls his past everyday life when he was happier and more content.
I think the point of this song is to let us know the writer's desire to have "her" back, and the reason he gives is because "Two. Is better than One".

I think that it's saying that having someone around you is better than being by yourself. And that when you find that one person that you fall in deep love with that you remember everything.
