The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot Lyrics

If it makes you less sad, I will die by your hand. I hope you find out what you want. I already know what I am. And if it makes you less sad, we'll start talking again. And you can tell me how vile I already know that I am. I'll grow old and...

Okay, this is not a response song to John Nolan, the response song to him is secondary off your favorite weapon. This song is about a failed relationship though. "I glad that you can forgive, I'm only hoping that as time goes you can forget."

Is it just me, or are there a lot of songs that could be about the jesse lacey/john nolan fight?

I think it's about a weird relationshaip he ahd, where he was going out with one of those girls who always breaks up with you to make a point, and then the next minute you get back together. She wants to feel like she's in control of him. So finally he snaps and won't take her back..but that's just the way I hear it!

The song being "The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot" is meaning he saved himself from a heartbreak (being shot in the chest). He got out of the relationship to save himself. not her. I think he feels guilty in a sarcastic way. because of the line "So call it quits or get a grip" and "I sneak to your bed to pour salt on your wounds".
