Britney Spears: 3 Meaning
Song Released: 2009
3 Lyrics
Not only you and me.
Got 180 degrees and I'm caught inbetween.
Countin' one, two, three...
Peter, Paul and Mary.
Getting down with 3P, everybody loves... Uh!
Countin'...
One, two...
One, one, one, one, two,...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:She's obviously singing about a threesome!
"1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary"
She mentions 3 people...
'Gettin’ down with 3P'
3P means '3 People' or something relevant,
'Everybody loves ***'
The censored word is obviously SEX.
Not a very healthy song for the younger children, especially the ones who understand what it actually means! -
3P = ?
The P stands for penetration... Yah! "3 ... Or 4 ... On the floor..." And now you know what that little guilty look is about when she pauses between 3... Or 4 ... On the floor... Oh Britney you dirty girl!!! :)

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Before I made a comment saying this is only about a threesome a woman wants her man to agree to. But now I think it's her saying she wants a threesome, when in reality she's caught in a love triangle (caught in between, 180 degrees). She's hoping that if she makes the sex part sound fun, her partner will agree, and she can have her cake and eat it, too.
-
Some people think that Peter Paul and Mary refer to Jesus' disciples. It refers to the band. But I do think that the writers knew that we'd wonder about that and kept it, even though it's potentially offensive, because the controversy would make the song popular. But it's entirely about a woman wanting to get her man to agree to a threesome with another guy. Very catchy, but only the fun beat, the threesome meaning is absolutely shameful. Please don't let your kids listen to it, even if you don't think they'll understand. They will eventually.

Britney actually said on a interview that its about her favorite band "Peter, Paul and Mary"
-
She's wanting to spice up her relationship ("If it's alright what do you say? Merrier the more, triple fun that way! 3 is a charm, two is not the same. If you don't like the company, let's just do it you and me").
She has to encourage him to get into it because she wants a two guys/one girl scenario (Peter, Paul and Mary). -
Peter, Paul and Mary.
Getting down with 3P, everybody loves...(Pussy)
That's the word I always fill in, It makes sense and it rhymes. -
The song 3 by britney spears. I think shes mocking God in a way becuase she says peter paul mary plus 3 is one of gods favorite numbers. And she says liveing in sin is the new thing. Shes Going against the bible saying what we do is innonce. Witch is Wrong.

This song can be taken two different ways, the first obviously she's singing about a threesome. And the second interpretation, and from what I saw in the music video could be interpreted that she's talking about dancing. Perhaps the guy would rather grind with her, than dance in a group?
-
honestly there is no need for an interpretation... brit is very hot...she wants to have a threesome...thats cool and also very hot...no wonder she sells so many records
