Two Black Cadillacs Lyrics

Two black Cadillacs driving in a slow parade
Headlights shining bright in the middle of the day
One is for his wife,
The other for the woman who loved him at night
Two black Cadillacs meeting for the first time

[Chorus:]
And the preacher...

He had faked his death so his previous wife and mistress didnt know so they got him back. He died out of his first marriage. If you go to carrie underwoods previous video just a dream.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

The man isn't who they say so they meet up on the phone plan his death, his wife, Carrie, meets him in an alley and runs over him. That is why they didn't bother to cry. The crimson smile was in red lipstick because it reoresents the bloodshed that they wanted to see. At least that is what i've been told.

"How could they both have killed him if they're meeting for the first time at his grave?"

If you watch the teaser trailer of the song it's implied that the two women spoke on the phone to set up the mans death... You dont have to meet someone face to face to plot a murder. The girlfriend and husband are in an ally... The wife (Carrie) shows up in her Cadillac... Girlfriend runs off... Suspected that Carrie runs him down in the Cadillac. The plot of getting him to the ally and killing him is the secret shared between the women.

To Dec 5th...they said they said they had never met, but that was the secret, along with them killing him.

A man obviously cheats on the wife and another girl, they figure out and kill him... I agree with the crimcon smile being red lipstic hidden by their veils. Red isn't associated with mourning a loved one... also, I agree it could possibly be poison, and his cause of death wasn't determined.... but people, maybe somehow they found a way to get him buried alive.... just a thought... maybe??? I honetly don't know how he was murdered

How could they both have killed him if they are just meeting for the first time at his grave?

I think that it is about two girls finding out someone is cheating on them and they come up with a plan to kill him

This could be a stretch, but...

Yes, the man cheated on both his wife and other lover. But the fact that the man wasn't "the only one who had a secret to hide" could indicate another secret.

"They decided then he’d never get away with doing this to them
Two black Cadillacs waiting for the right time, right time"
"They shared a crimson smile and just walked away"

Perhaps the two women planned his death? Crimson = bloody. Possibly.

the guy cheated on his wife with aanother girl but she did't know he had a wife because he lied..once they found out they killed him for revenge and that's why the song says they left the secret at the grave

I think two women who were both betrayed by a bad man killed him after he cheated on them.
