Chevelle: Highland's Apparition Meaning
Highland's Apparition Lyrics
Afternoon I had to ask
Or dare I, ever know
Tell us, we are demented
Watch as attention span
Hold, so fast
Then goes up in smoke
I don't think you're nervous enough
It happened to show its own face
Search for the soulless...
-
I thought it was about one night stands, but the frontman said it was about a haunted house they slept in once.
-
The song was actually about a house that they used to live in in georgia that they believed to be haunted..
-
I think it's about a person who encounters his/her inner demons as a ghost in physical form hence"i don't think you're nervous enough
it happened to show its own face" and after that it goes on to say"search for the soulless ends/now point him towards rest" in my eyes and head is one looking to let go of they're remorse over something that they had no control over ,say a death of some one and they're holding onto guilt and are finally letting it go.
