Coheed And Cambria: Feathers Meaning

Album cover for Feathers album cover

Feathers Lyrics

History’s made its mark in anger.
As everybody knows, it's what we do,
It's nothing new.

The next chords struck are fault and failure
And we both know that finger points on cue,
There’s blame for two.

Do you really want him calling,...

Well then this song probably means that Claudio's really pissed off at Newo. It may even be because of the writer's personal anger. This seems like a subject that's good for brainstorming.

He mentioned in an interview that, hide your feathers, was a reference, to keeping your baggage on the back porch.

The angel who burned her wings off to be more human like, the representation of all pure and good? Is this anything to do with her?

Either that or after the battle towards the end of the Second Stage Turbine Blade where the prise sacrificed themselves to save the keywork, there still exists somewhere a prise, probably someone that Claudio knows as well...

I was just thinking..."hide your feathers" "he's coming home for you" "you've been such a liar".

In world war 1, white feathers were a symbol given to "concientious objectors" - basically men who refused national service. The song could be about a woman who had betrayed her husband by presenting him with white feathers, thinking he's not fighting, when in fact he is, and he is now coming home to her.
But who knows, I'm 17 lol.
