Demi Lovato: In Real Life Meaning
Song Released: 2011
In Real Life Lyrics
I'm waking up alone
It's one more night
You didn't make it home
And one more time
You won't pick up the phone
In real life
You never bring me flowers
When you're here
It's only for an hour
I'm getting used
To being on...

I think the song is about how she would sing about the perfect guy for her but in reality she is in a relationship with one that doesn't put enough effort into their relationship and that shes starting to feel single (alone) again. but in the end she does find the perfect guy for her and the first one just fades...
-
This is a song where she's singing about dreaming for the perfect boyfriend. Which she doesn't have. She's saying that he makes no effort in they're relationship and she's getting used to feeling like she's single again.
Then towards the end of the song there's a twist and she explains that she's met the boyfriend she wanted and has dreamt about, she's getting treated the way she should be. And she's not missing her ex.
