Foo Fighters: Bridge Burning Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Bridge Burning Lyrics
-
I just got this feeling that this song is about someone who has told a lot of lies,or have been very fake, and now the whole illusion that this person has built up is falling apart. Or maybe, like in the previous comments, it's about someone who has done wrong and lied, but now karma is finally getting it's revenge.
So simply I think it's about a person not being what you thought at first. I don't know if that actually makes any sense but that's what I felt the very first time I listened to this totally awesome song. -
This song is a deeply disturbing tale about the struggle between the 1% and the 99%. The waelthy and the poor. But the only person left to point the finger at is your self.

Damn, it's speaking to me like a punch in the gut.that it's about a shady person/lover/girlfriend/friend who uses people for their own entertainment and pleasure with little regard for consequences or aftermath. After a while, it all comes back to them or they wear out everyone they have gotten in their grips. common in romantic relationships..the one who is only looking for what they can get out of it..Sounds like both arguments exist in the song. the side of the victim and the narcissist after whatever brings he/she what he/she wants Now....the ashes collect over time..dont they?

This song represent one who after many lie's (wrong doings) is finally getting their fair share of karma.
Grohl is wallowing in the others stress, or just the fact that he put this person in 'their place'.
