Foo Fighters: Wheels Meaning
Song Released: 2009
Wheels Lyrics
We were goin’ down
I can feel the sinkin’
But then I came around
And everyone I’ve loved before
Flashed before my eyes
And nothin’ mattered anymore
I looked into the sky
Well we all want something better...

#1 top rated interpretation:It's in no way literal about landing a plane OR wheels, those are metaphors. It's about a period of time, or a personal struggle/journey coming to it's conclusion. And that just because something is coming to an end, it's not necessarily THE END. It's about every time you think you've got it figured out, every time you think you're 'there', you still have a long way to go. Life is a series of beginnings coming to an end, and each of those endings, are also beginnings.

#3 top rated interpretation:Its about a relationship that's coming to an end. It's about two people in a relationship that feel things are ending and the one person ends it. He looks back at prior relationships and understands that this was like past ones.
When it started out they were flying high and wanted something beautiful and new and now their coming down and its ending.
Broken hearts will mead and they will have another round with something new. -
I take this song in 2 different ways and I’m stuck between both.On one hand I can definitely see this song meaning relationship problems but on the other I can see this song being somewhat of a “Final thoughts before death”.Everyone flashed before his eyes like he was about to die.He wished for too much and wanted something to lose which to me felt like he was realizing he was being greedy on what he wanted and when he found something to lose(His life/Near death experience) he realized he had more than he really understood.the broken hearts that will mend was everyone who loved him.I take this song as it could be near death experience and he’s coming to accept that these are his final moments

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I feel like this is a metaphor about a person seeing its life in retrospective, good and bad. I feel this beacause of the sound in the background, it make me to imagine someone in an hospital about to die or shomething like that.

For me, this song is, as the person above me said, about the wheels of a plane landing. I think its about when you travel to a new place where you dont wanna go, or youve just left home, or moved, it feels like everything is over when the plane's wheels touch the ground and you realize your no longer where you wanted to be. But then, theres still another round for you, which I think means, a new beginning. This song is super close to my heart and i think its just awesome.

The literal meaning of this song is about landing a plane and u realize you could die and then it lands and everything is good
"When the Wheels come down"
"when u feel like its all over theres another round for you"
But if you look further in the lyrics you can see that its about something bad happening and you think its the end of the world but really theres so much more to live for
