Good Charlotte: Misery Meaning
Misery Lyrics
See that you are the only real face in the room
No one here has a clue what you're feeling
Don't feel bad keep your sadness alive
Look at all these happy people
Living their lives
Look at all these...
-
Imo the misery means the 'bad' feeling you sometimes have to endure as a critical thinker and different person.
In this context "Don't feel bad, keep your sadness alive." means to stay thinking and acting your way, even though this means suffering through times of hardship due to who you are. -
To me, the misery means that the world has this fake happiness like plastic on the outside, but you find inside there is sadness everywhere you look. This sadness is evident in the world around us everywhere, and this song said is trying to make it clear. It says that there's something wrong about the world, something not right. Like a race living perfect lives with no error in what they do. It says keep your sadness alive. This is confusing, but I believe it means that its OK to be sad despite the wrongly happy looking world?
