Young And The Hopeless Lyrics

Hard days made me,
Hard nights shaped me,
I don't know,
They somehow saved me,
And I know I'm making something,
Out of this life they called nothing
I take what I want,
Take what I need,
They say it's wrong,

None of you are right, the song is about how hard their life has been and how they feel so helpless because they can't do much about it.

This song is about when they were you and how they've matured since they first released an album.

Yes, this is about getting back at the people who made fun of the guys in Good Charlotte for going after their dream and not believing they were being sincere. And he says how he's angry at his father because he walked out on his kids, lead singer Joel and guitarist Benji, when they were young.

I think this song is a 'ha ha I told you' to all the people who tried to discourage them from becoming successful with their music. (i'm young and I'm hopeless/i'm going nowhere fast that's what they say). Also it could be the story of how having a hard life motivated them to become successful.(hard days made me/they somehow saved me).

I think this is about Good Charlotte thinking that they were hopeless for dropping out of school and not caring about anything.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
