My eyes feel like they're gonna bleed
Dried up and bulging out my skull
My...

Billie Joe's son Joey kept him up all night long...and Billie didnt get a wink of sleep. Coincidentally, "Brain Stew" is the name of a good friend if the band, James Washburn.

It's a song Billie Joe wrote when his son kept him up all night, which caused him to suffer from insomnia.

This song was written when Billie Joe Armstrong (lead vocals and guitar) was trying to get his kid to sleep. It's pretty easy to understand. He's tired.
