Harry Styles: Medicine Meaning
Medicine Lyrics
Treat you like a gentleman
Give me that adrenaline, that adrenaline
Think I’m gonna stick with you
Here to take my medicine, take my medicine
Rest it on your fingertips
Up to your mouth, feeling it...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:‘Medicine,’ sang by Harry Styles interprets that he is actually okay with liking both males and females, and this song talks about oral sex, talking about blowjobs. Phew, how hot.
-
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:I'm convinced the song is about oral sex, and him messing around with a man and accepting the fact that he can be into both girls and guys.
-
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:In my opinion the song is about how he's okay with being bisexual. 'the boys and the girls are in, I mess around with him" meaning that he has messed around with a guy before." And I'm okay with it" ;) We know who that guy is; one very certain lad who is the sass master from Doncaster.
He knows we know.

First of all I LOVE this song
In my opinion I believe it is about how Harry is comfortable with his sexuality and himself. Sadly I don’t think that he will end up putting it on an album as it has been deemed by administers inappropriate for his family friendly songs and wouldn’t fit in.This song has the verse “the boys and the girls are in i mess around with Him and I’m ok with it “which just confirms Harry is trying to tell us that he is not straight. I can’t get enough of this song and still REALY hope he releases it soon -

i think that the song medicine is about harry trying to come out as bisexual or atleast not straight hence this line “the boys and and girls are in, i mess around with him.. and im okay with it” HIMM. and also him preforming oral segs.. i feel that he’s not releasing it because he doesn’t want to come out and im fine with that *COUGH COUGH but we know u and louis secret ;)*

I think that this song is definitely about how Harry is okay with his sexuality, especially the line “The boys and the girls are in I mess around with him and I’m okay with it” It is definitely about him accepting his sexuality and probably seeing how the fans react. (Obviously we still love him) He needs to put it on his next album, us fans would go crazy. And I think we all know who one of the boys he messed around with is *wink wink*

imo the song is gay, he liked both girls and guys and he's okay with it, it didn't make the album which irked me a little bit, maybe because of his management and the 'straight rockstar' persona he is forced to uphold, or maybe he thought the song was just personal, but then again he sung it at the whole hslot so i doubt that.
the song is a banger, you cant get enough of it.

I think that this song is about his place in the community of LGBTQ, and his crush on a certain member of one direction *cough cough* louis *cough cough*
-
oral sex. on both him and him giving it to someone else.."Here take my medicine, take my medicine rest it on your fingertips up to your mouth feeling it out" and for him giving it "And when I sleep I'm gonna dream of how you tasted" "I'm gonna dream of how you ride it" HARRY WILL MAKE A PUSSY THROBBB!!!!!

I think it’s about Harry being bisexual “the boy and girl are in, I mess around with him” and he’s okay with it “and I’m okay with it” and he’s explaining how he feels and his “sexual thoughts” through music (but he probably didn’t put it on his album because he wasn’t ready to come out yet)
-
I think Medicine is about how he is okay with who he is and his sexuality. He expresses his sexual thoughts through this song.

Well In my opinion it’s most likely about blowjobs evidence , “ Think I’m gonna stick with you
Here to take my medicine, take my medicine
Rest it on your fingertips
Up to your mouth, feeling it out
Feeling it out” So on later in the performance he says “The boys and the girls are in I mess around with them/him and I’m okay with it” in other performances he shrugs when he says that line I think it’s in a specific performance and when he says “tasted” he points to his mouth -

Harry is trying to hint at the fact that he is okay with girls and guys. It's literally in the lyrics, "the boys and girls are in, they mess around a bit, and i'm okay with it." You can't tell me that it's not.

Most people think that this song is about fellatio which is oral sex.
We think that certain verses are indications for this theory to be true, such as:
"And when I sleep I'm gonna dream of how you tasted/ ride it", "You got that something, I got me an appetite, now I can taste it" and "I messed around with him" and a few more. Harry himself never made a direct statement about the meaning but has hinted at some points of the show while performing the song.
As mentioned earlier, the fandom is convinced this theory to be true and there have been tons of analysis and evidence to prove this theory.
