Harry Styles: Sweet Creature Meaning
Song Released: 2017
Sweet Creature Lyrics
Had another talk about where it's going wrong
But we're still young
We don't know where we're going but we know where we belong
And ohhhh, we started
Two hearts in one home
It's hard when we argue
We're both stubborn, I...

end of discussion, thank you -

#2 top rated interpretation:In the song "Too Young" by Louis, he says: "We were too young to know we had everything"- so basically Harry is saying to Louis that they still young. Xx

#3 top rated interpretation:This song is souly about Larry Stylinson. There are so many references to their relationship. 2 hearts in one home, they're stubborn, hey don't speak enough, they were young. No matter what Harry or Louis say we know the meaning of this song, and it's relation to Louis Tomlinson's Too Young.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. -
Most people say that this song is about Harry's sister Gemma Styles although I totally disagree. This is absolutely about Louis William Tomlinson. Enough said.

Larry. Anyone who says otherwise is just straight up WRONG. Anyone who listens to the lyrics and actually thinks about it can see that he wrote the song for Louis.
First off, in the first line of the song he says “we’re still young” which goes with Louis’s song Too Young, which also is very obviously for Harry. There is also a lot of talk about home in Sweet Creature, and as we should all probably know, the aspect of home has always been Larry’s thing. Lou has a compass tattoo pointing to ‘HOME’ which matches Harry’s ship tattoo, Louis and Harry lived in princess park together and stated “It’s going to be a home, a family home”. Also the song Louis wrote called Home.
“Don’t know where we’re going but we know where we belong”
I think he’s saying how him and Louis don’t know what else is going to happen with their relationship and how things are going to turn out in the end (good or bad) but they know that whatever management tells them to do or say, they’ll always belong together.
“I always think about how you and me don’t speak enough”
This is about how it’s very hard for them to be together physically because they have to be really cautious in public and make sure they aren’t seen together. I assume they don’t get to communicate much, as their social media’s are heavily monitored by their teams and most likely wouldn’t let the two meet up.
Also when Harry was asked if the song was about Louis, he never actually said no. If he is sooo offended by the Larry rumours why wouldn’t he take that opportunity to shut it down and just say it wasn’t about Lou? He just said “People can believe what they want to believe about the meanings of songs, and I don’t think I would ever want to tell someone they’re wrong.” (Or something along those lines idk sorry)
Explain THAT antis!! ❤️ -
I think the songs about him and Louis Tomlinson because it’s goes I always think about you and how we don’t speak enough and the two don’t speak that much anymore and we started two hearts in one home the two moved in together when they were young and I think that what Harry’s talking about in this song
-
its DEFINITELY about louis.
"buy we're still young" - meaning they're still young to know what's gonna happen in the future w each other
"oh we started
Two hearts in one home"
PRINCESS.PARK.
"Wherever I go, you bring me home" - they have matching tatoos of a compass and a boat. Louis has a compass, "bringing him home"
"when I run out of road, you bring me home"
- hear me out on this one. the original lyric is "road" but it recently changed to rope! you can see it on apple music and search it on google. But why? after 3 YEARS why change the lyrics? there's 2 reasons; they have 2 SETS of matching rope tattos OR "rope" might indicate Louis being free from syco. he left syco, then the lyrics changed...

Louis definitely.

[Sweet creature
Had another talk about where it's going wrong
But we're still young
We don't know where we're going
But we know where we belong]
The two in the relationship are still very young and uninformed, hence the line 'we don't know where we're going.' However, they know that they want to be together, and they're obviously very fond of eachother as they have chosen to talk about where it's going wrong instead of just ending it.
[Oh, we started
Two hearts in one home
It's hard when we argue
We're both stubborn
I know, but oh]
Two hearts in one home - the couple may live together, or they may be referring to their relationship as this 'home' in which they both find refuge. They acknowledge that they both have undesirable attributes - ie. being stubborn - but work with it nonetheless.
[Sweet creature, sweet creature
Wherever I go, you bring me home
Sweet creature, sweet creature
When I run out of road, you bring me home]
The use of the term 'sweet creature' implies there is a bittersweet sense to their relationship. The person is loving, but perhaps the strong feelings they cause the writer to feel are unfamiliar, hence the reference to the person as a 'creature'. However, he acknowledges anyway that the person brings him back down to Earth.
[Sweet creature
We're running through the garden
Oh, where nothing bothered us
But we're still young
I always think about you and how we don't speak enough]
writer perhaps does not live with the person anymore, does not see them as often as in previous years. Again he is acknowledging that they are still young, but he's beginning to realise things are better when he is with that person. -
About his band mate , Louis Tomlinson, hence the lyrics he sings, "when I ru out of ROPE, you bring me home" harry has an anchor tattoo near his wrist and Louis HAS an achor rope in the same place, so when harry runs out of rope, Louis brings him home, and part of the meaning of sweetcreature is boobear, which happens to be what harry publically called Louis a few years back. The song seems to be about how theyve thought through the struggles that the media industry have put them through, but at the end of the day, they bring each other home
