Canyon Moon Lyrics

You gotta see it to believe it
Sky never looked so blue
So hard to leave it
That's what I always do
So I keep thinking back to
A time under the canyon moon

The world's happy waiting
Doors yellow, broken, blue
I heard Jenny saying
"Go...

    ok some larry moments:
    1. "two weeks and ill be home" it has been said that they have a two week rule: Two weeks from the time Louis or Harry step on a separate flight until the time they are back in each other’s arms.

    2. "Through Paris, all through Rome." in an interview they were asked where their perfect dates would be and they said paris or rome.

3.in the song falling he said "cofees out at the beachwood cafe" and right next to the cafe is a community called canyon beachwood in hollywood hills, which louis has a house there!!!so the lyrics "And I keep thinking back to
A time under the canyon moon" HAS TO BE HIM MISSING LOUISSSSS #larryisreal

look up beachwood cafe (which harry mentions in falling) and as you can see there’s yellow and blue all over it

beachwood cafe is in beachwood canyon which locates in hollywood hills

and guess who has (or had) a house in hollywood hills! louis!

“and i keep thinking back to the time under the canyon moon” IN LOUIS’ HOUSE

    thank you and goodnight

This is obviously a larry song for so many reasons (just look at the other comments) through Paris or through Rome is referring to something they said in an interview, Louis has a house in canyon beach wood (I believe it is) but the one that blew my mind the most is that line “heard Jenny saying...” because one time Louis introduced himself as Jennifer in an interview and the same day Harry tweeted “I have a girlfriend and her name is Jennifer” Jenny/Jennifer... idk I just can’t not see it:)))

This is a Larry interpretation btw. Louis used to have a house in Beachwood Canyon, there is a cafe there called Beachwood cafe which is mentioned in Falling so thinking back to a time under the canyon moon would be thinking back to a time with Louis.
Worlds happy waiting, the Larrie’s are happy to wait for Harry and Louis to come out
Doors yellow broken blue, the door at the Beachwood Cafe is blue and the cafe is decorated yellow and blue.
I heard Jenny saying go get the kids from school, in an early One Direction interview Louis introduced himself as Jennifer and Harry once tweeted “I have a girlfriend, Jennifer is her name”
Through Paris all through Rome, in another interview they were asked where they would go for a romantic holiday, Louis said Paris and Harry said Rome
Well that’s about it so thanks for reading :)

Oi oi lads. So, I fully believe that this song is about Louis. Need proof, read these other comments. A while back I saw somebodies theory of some of the lyrics on Instagram, and thought, why not share it. It’s quite cute and a nice thought but it’s a stretch so I am, in no way, shape or form, telling you this as proof, just as a cute theory that makes sense. Again, don’t take this as proof in anyway :)

“Sky never looked so blue, so hard to leave it”

“Staring at the ceiling, two weeks and I’ll be home”

So, the theory I heard was that the sky meant Louis blue eyes as he lay with or on top of him. That’s why the sky, or the blue above him, had never looked more real and blue to him. The next line is ‘so hard to leave it’, which we know the meaning of these lyrics already, but you can’t leave the sky, which made whoever’s theory this is believe that the blue was a person, not a place.

We know that the line ‘two weeks and I’ll be home’ is about Louis, but without him he is left staring up at the ceiling without Louis ‘sky blue’ eyes looking down into his.

Again, this isn’t proof and most likely not real at all but I thought it was cute and what’s the harm in sharing it anyway. Love this song, love you all and TPWK <3

I fully believe this song is for Louis. For proof, read these other comments. What I’m about to say, I don’t believe in particularly as it is a stretch but I saw someone give their interpretation of it somewhere and I thought it was cute. while it is a stretch and is most likely not true, it’s a nice thought that I want to share with y’all. So it was:

“The sky never looked so blue”

“Staring at the ceiling, two weeks and I’ll be home”

So, from what I read, someone said their theory was that the sky meant Louis blue eyes when he’s laying on top of Harry, so the sky has never looked so blue. The next part was saying he was away from Louis- two weeks and I’ll be home- so he’s left staring at the ceiling, without Louis blue eyes there is no sky, and he is left looking up at the ceiling.

As I said, probably not true but it’s a cute theory that I thought would be harmless to share :)

Before all of those parts, the lyrics are "The world's happy waiting" which could be referring to the fact that neither of them have confirmed anything. They haven't said anything about Larry, possibly keeping it secret.

The line, 'I heard Jenny saying "Go get the kids from school"' is clearly a Larry reference. In an interview the boys are introducing themselves and Louis said 'Im Jenifer'. Jenny is a nickname for Jenifer. This is clearly a Larry reference.

This song is about Harry going to the Beachwood Cafe. "Yellow and Blue" represents the decor, and it is located by Canyon dr. Harry is eating at the Beachwood Cafe at night. (They close at 8pm)

    Thank you and goodnight

I think this song is about Louis because Harry says “Heard Jenny saying go get the kids from school” and remember the time louis introduces himself as “Jennifer”?? Jenny is a nickname for Jennifer.

I just saw a video about this song and thought I had to share.

    "Through Paris all through Rome"

When Louis and Harry were asked about where their perfect date would be and they said Paris and Rome.

I'm now CONVINCED that this is about how he felt when he was with Louis. It's so obvious ahhh #larryisstillalive

I feel like this song is the complete opposite of falling and is about the highest of highs in his life.

As the album is fine line, Harry talks about his best moments and his all-time lows. Falling is about how to harry has fallen into a low in his life whereas I think canyon moon is about the time where he felt at his very best.

    "I keep thinking back to"
This makes me think that he wishes life was always at this high and he misses the excitement and how he felt at the time under the canyon moon.

The visuals and all the colours mentioned just remind me of happy memories and this song is so upbeat and fun. I think this song is about happy memories, in general, like take me back to the time where I felt at this high. I don't think it is talking about anyone in particular as it is very broad but you could interpret it anyway.

Aside from the meaning and all this song POPS off and just gives off good vibes.

I feel like canyon moon is more of a memory that Harry has a clear imagine of when he thinks about it as it’s so real that it takes him back. “ and I’m still thinking back to the time under the canyon moon” I feel like this song goes between memory and what he is actually doing, “ I heard Jenny saying go pick the kids from school”. That this canyon moon was a high for him where he was on top of the world so he goes back to the memory’s and this make me re-live and feel like he did, he made a home within this memory or place. That “ I’m going oh I’m going “ is him going back to this place or revisiting it with the same feelings he left with.
