Harry Styles: She Meaning
Song Released: 2019
She Lyrics
The man drops his kids off at school
And he's thinking of you
Like all of us do
Sends his assistant for coffee in the afternoon
Around 1:32
Like he knows what to do
She (she)
She lives in daydreams with me (she)
She's...

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:The single letters in "she" are actually an anagram of Harry's initials. Harry Edward Styles=HSE, which is a re-ordering of SHE. Not saying this means anything, but it's quite an interesting way to think about it lol :). I interpret she as being about Harry'a femininity, and how for years he had to be someone he wasn't. For example the line "imagines just sailing away, not telling his mates, he wouldn't know what to say" could imply that he, in the past has felt that he has to hide his true identity, due to toxic masculinity that was constantly forced upon him by society, it may have even been a reference towards his former band mates, as they "traditionally" dress and act more"masculine" than Harry does/did, which would explain why he says "he wouldn't know what to say". Just my interpretation, not saying it's correct, everyone's free to believe whatever they want and enjoy his music!TPWK :)

3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:I don't think this song is about Harry's feminine side, I think he is in touch with his feminine side quite a lot and doesn't hide it. I think this song is about a man who lives seemingly good life with a wife and kids, a good job, friends around him, but he isn't happy, so he goes back to a time when he briefly met or saw a girl that in his eyes was perfect, and now that he feels miserable, he imagines what would his life be with her and it's all he can think of, but he pretends he's fine, because he knows how ridiculous it is to want to run away from his 'good' life, throw everything away for a relationship that truly only exists in his mind. The situation, in which we go back to some past romantic relationship, be it even as brief as one meeting, and start fantasizing about a life with them in idealistic terms, when we feel unhappy in our current one, is actually a psychological phenomenon that happens to a lot of people.

I think this is about Larry :). The “he” being addressed is Louis, the “she” is Eleanor, and the “I” is Harry.
Think about it... if you wanted to be with someone but they’re with someone else, you would think about that “someone else” all the time, right?
“She lives in daydreams with me / and I don’t know why / I don’t know who she is” ~~He doesn’t know why he’s always thinking about Eleanor, because he “doesn’t know her”. But it’s because she’s with the man he wants to be with (aka Louis).~~
“Nine in the morning / The man drops his kids off at school / And he's thinking of you / Like all of us do” ~~Louis drops Freddie off at school and is thinking about Eleanor. “Like all of us do”—The “us” would be the fandom—but notice he said “us” not “they”—so he, included, is thinking about Eleanor, too...~~
“Sends his assistant for coffee in the afternoon / Around 1:32 / Like he knows what to do” ~~ONE IF THE 12 EASTER EGGS IN FINE LINE. I’ve seen many videos showing what the “around 1:32” line means. Rather than 1:32 in the afternoon (it being a time) it’s a time stamp. In many of the One Direction music videos—around the 1 minute and 32 second mark—is a frame of LOUIS. Look it up for yourself if you don’t believe me, it’s quite mind blowing;).~~
“He takes a boat out / Imagines just sailing away / And not telling his mates / He wouldn't know what to say” ~~Louis wants to escape and be free (express his sexuality), but the only thing he can do would be to “sail away”. And he can’t reveal that to his mates because they would question why because his life seems so happy—he has a girlfriend and a kid.~~
“A woman who's just in his head / And she sleeps in his bed / While he plays pretend / So pretend” ~~Eleanor is just in Louis’s head, he doesn’t really love her. He plays pretend because he can’t admit to her that he really loves Harry.~~
This is just my interpretation of it, I agree with all the other interpretations, too. Like the ones about the “she” being Harry’s feministic side. And let me just get this off my chest... Harry Styles is really good at telling stories through songs; he’s SO gifted.
Have a good day ;).

So i think this is about just an imaginary girl he thinks of in his head to fill the empty space, or someone he had met once and completely forgot what they were like as he says in the song "she, she she lives in daydreams with me, she she's the only one that i see and i don't know why i dont know where she is" which means that "She" is either an imaginary girl or someone he met once and had a great time but cant seem to find again.

i have two opinions:
-about a man (may or may not be harry) who wants to be a transgender female. “a woman who’s just in his head”; it hasn’t been expressed to the public yet about who this person wants to be so it is just something they have kept to themself. “while he plays pretend”; pretending to be someone you’re not. “i don’t know why, i don’t know who she is”; the person isn’t able to become fully aware of their feelings or how to express it. i honestly don’t think it’s about harry though because he’s confident in who he is and he has always said to be yourself. it’s also not my place to tell you what to think about the song though!
-my second opinion is that it’s about a man who continues to dream about a girl who he loved and lost. she has become an angel or a ghost and that’s why she’s living in daydreams and can’t get out of the mans head. i don’t think harry is singing about himself in this song honestly.
okay thanks pls respect my opinion -
Does anyone think that it's about elounor?
ok don't kill me, jut asking
she = harry's feminism makes perfect sense. want to know whether any different interpretation is there.

I 100% agree with the other comment that she = Harrys feminism.
This is so obvious for me especially in the line "she lives in daydreams with me". This just shows that he dreams about being able to express his feminism but is unable to show it to the world.
I don't think this song is about a person AT ALL
now the line "not telling his mates, wouldn't know what to say"
This is like harry not knowing how to tell the people around him about his sexuality and is unsure what he would even say. He wishes he could just sail away and express himself.
A woman who's just in his head (just in his head)
And she sleeps in his bed (his bed)
While he plays pretend (pretend)
Harry sleeps with other women but just pretends to hide how he really feels. By someone just being in his head he doesn't feel anything with them he just thinks about them.
This could also be interpreted as 'she" being part of himself, like 'she' sleeps in his bed while he plays pretend could mean he just pretends to be someone he isn't etc.
Just my thoughts on this song any way I'm up for any other suggestions cause I loveeee this song!!!
