i believe that the song is about how stereotypical it is that boys are girl crazy, and girls are boy crazy. but i think it really about how boys can chase boys, and girls can chase girls, but in the end we are just chasing love.

It means that no matter the gender or race everyone is a human and loves somebody. She is singing about how also the way most people think is that only the guys can ask girls out or basically it shows that guys aren't the people in charge. It shows that girls can also be in charge and she is showing that the feminine group can be a strong independent mind. In the music video that is why they were all dressed up like girls showing that we can be just as powering as men.

Everyone loves someone and everyone thinks that only boys can make the first move or even ask girls out but it this song it explains that even girls can make the first move our gender doesn't matter. It is the same thing girls can ask boys or boys can ask girls.
